Miranda Lambert Made $18 Million In 2016: Is She Maximizing On Blake Shelton Divorce?

Miranda Lambert is raking in the cash after opening up about her divorce from Blake Shelton in her latest single, “Vice.”

According to a new report, Miranda Lambert, who is currently in the midst of her “Keeper of the Flame Tour,” has made a whopping $18 million in 2016 and is one of the world’s top-earning country stars.

While $18 million is certainly an impressive amount, Miranda Lambert’s 2016 earnings were actually down $10 million from last year, which Forbes claimed on July 26 was due in part to her “relatively low music sales.” Still, Miranda Lambert’s earnings were enough to land her on the list of Forbes’ Country Cash Kings.

As the outlet revealed, Miranda Lambert’s net worth comes from her successful touring schedule, which has recently included shows in the U.K. and North America, and her numerous business ventures. Over the course of 12 months, Miranda Lambert made just under $7 million for 40 shows and continued the second and third legs of her “Platinum Tour,” which grossed $20 million. In addition, Miranda Lambert co-headlined the C2C: Country to Country festival in the U.K.

Now, not only is Miranda Lambert performing her solo act in 26 shows as part of her “Keeper of the Flame Tour,” she is also serving as the opening act for Kenny Chesney’s “Spread the Love Tour.”

As for her other business ventures, Miranda Lambert is currently the proud owner of her Pink Pistol boutique in Texas, where she sells tons of merchandise, including her wine line, Red 55 Winery, and her recently-launched fitness clothing line.

She also has made a couple of real estate investments, and after divorcing Shelton in 2015, Miranda Lambert retained ownership of the home they once shared.

After her latest hit, “Vice,” which is said to be inspired by her 2015 divorce, hit No. 1 on an iTunes music chart, Miranda Lambert took to Instagram, where she spoke of her difficult year.

“The last year of my life has been one of heartache and healing… Of learning to be honest…. Accepting the flaws and celebrating the smiles. Finding peace in dark places… having some moments alone with me. Facing fears and feelings… All of them,” Miranda Lambert wrote to her fans and followers.

“I got to know my guitars…became friends with a pencil and paper… Used melodies to lead me places I had never been…. Made music with my friends. Because music is medicine,” Miranda Lambert continued. “This means the world to me. Thank you for joining me on this journey. #vice #musicismedicine.”

Following Miranda Lambert’s divorce from Shelton, he moved on with his current girlfriend Gwen Stefani, with whom he was starring alongside on The Voice Season 9, and Lambert moved on with R&B singer Anderson East, whom she is still dating. However, while Shelton and Stefani have been very open with their relationship, Lambert and East have chosen to keep their romance private.

Although Miranda Lambert isn’t exactly giving interviews about her relationship with East, she does share photos of the Alabama-born musician from time to time. In fact, she shared a photo of them kissing earlier this month in honor of East’s birthday.

“Happy Birthday to my favorite ‘Bama’ boy! @andersoneast #candidkisses #withtheband #tourlove #rolltide #&erson #TexasBama,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.

Miranda Lambert began dating East at the end of last year, and in April, they made their red carpet debut at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.
