Watch Matt Damon And Jimmy Kimmel Return To Couples Therapy In A Hilarious Skit On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Watch Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel return to couples therapy in a hilarious skit on Jimmy Kimmel Live on July 25.

Matt Damon made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his upcoming movie, Jason Bourne, according to the Daily Mail.

The whimsical pair had tried couples therapy on the late-night talk show last year, and it didn’t go very well. The skit features Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel returning to see a new professional therapist to try to work their problems out like adults.

The pair sat together on a couch, Kimmel began to stack pillows up between him and Damon to create a physical divide. Jimmy explained to the therapist that it was because the last time they had gone to couples therapy, Damon had “beat him up.”

Damon told the studio audience that he wanted to be on Jimmy Kimmel Live so badly, but because of Kimmel’s poor time management, he has not been allowed on the show night after night. Kimmel disagreed with the actor.

“It’s technically stalking.”

But Damon fought right back, arguing that he had indeed been invited to come on the show.

“It’s not if you’re invited. The judge was very clear about that. If you just stopped inviting me, then maybe I wouldn’t come. But you invite me everyday, you say I’m going to be on the show, and I’ve never been on the show. And so I took matters into my own hands.”

The therapist also asked Damon and Kimmel to participate in some art therapy, having them draw out “how they view each other.” Damon draws Kimmel as a human with a butt for a face. With the latest installment in the Bourne films set to drop, Damon also revealed a bumper sticker which read “Honk if you’re Bourney.”

Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel have kept up with their “faux feud” for nearly the past 10 years. Back in 2006 on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel used to end his show by pretending that the show ran out of time for his last guest, Matt Damon. When Damon finally did make it to the show, Kimmel shows a video recap of all the times when Damon didn’t make it on the show. By the time the video is over, the show runs out of airtime.

The following year, Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick, Guillermo, went to the premiere of Oceans Thirteen, which starred Matt Damon. Guillermo was interviewing the actors on the red carpet, but when he got to Matt Damon, he ran out of time to talk to him.

Jimmy Kimmel also made a spoof of Damon’s movie The Bourne Ultimatum by replacing Damon with Guillermo. Guillermo went on to famously take over one of Matt Damon’s interviews on the show.

Damon finally retaliated in 2008 with Kimmel’s then-girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, for a surprise birthday video for Jimmy Kimmel called “F*@#ing Matt Damon.” The video has almost 14 million hits on YouTube. Watch a clip of the video here.

Kimmel bounced back quickly and aired his rebuttal video called “F*@#ing Ben Affleck.” Brad Pitt, Robin Williams, Cameron Diaz, Pete Wentz, and a few other celebs all make appearances in the hilarious video. Kimmel’s video raked in around 10 million views on YouTube. Watch it here.

The comical riff between the two continued on over the years, and Damon and Kimmel’s return to couples therapy is certainly not the last we will see of these faux feuding friends.
