The Democratic Convention In Philidelphia Is Anything But Patriotic

If you’re proud to be an American, chances are you aren’t attending the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this week. If you are attending, chances are you’re not sporting an American flag.

If the democratic convention proved anything, it proved that Democrats are anti-America. Democratic Party supporters overwhelmingly did not sport the international symbol of freedom. Perhaps they burned them all before going inside the venue, like far left-wing protesters, from a group named Revcom, did at the Republican National Convention last week. Revcom is short for Revolutionary Communist Party.

Revcom aren’t the only far-lefties who burn the American flag during their protests. Black Lives Matter, a group of which Democrats have claimed their support for, according to an article by MSNBC, have also set fire to and otherwise desecrated Old Glory.

“‘[T]he DNC joins with Americans across the country in affirming ‘Black lives matter’ and the ‘say her name’ efforts to make visible the pain of our fellow and sister Americans as they condemn extrajudicial killings of unarmed African American men, women and children,’ the resolution states.”

There was one flag to be seen amongst the sea of people. Someone thought displaying a Palestinian flag was appropriate for an American political party convention.

Palestine, you know, our enemies? The country of which its citizens routinely kill our allies, the Israelis. The person who brought this flag is the kind of person who is anti-American, and it’s no coincidence that he or she supports the Democratic Party.

Bringing or not bringing the American flag to the democratic convention is a choice attendees have every right to make, but there were two other things on Monday night that should send American patriots a troubling message.

Truth Revolt reported that the Pledge of Allegiance had to be displayed on a teleprompter in order to sound like everyone was reciting it correctly, and one of the featured guests on stage gave the army salute during the Pledge rather than put her hand over her heart. I’m sure she was confused, as her age would indicate, (if you’ve ever seen National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, when the older grandma is asked to pray you’ll know what I mean) but really?

The Democratic National Convention should be embarrassed by such theatrics, but I suppose given that the rhetoric and stances of the party are undoubtedly globalist in nature, these gaffes shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Instead of opening up the convention to America’s patriotic National Anthem, the Democrats decided to begin with “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” as reported by Townhall.com.

“They had no problem starting off with a church choir singing ‘Battle Hymn of The Republic’ designed to pander to minorities voters.”

After this, popular 1990s band Boyz II Men made an appearance, and sometime later they eventually made some time for the National Anthem. It definitely sounds like the National Anthem was anything but a priority to the Democratic Party.

Democrats even featured actual non-Americans at the convention. Instead of having legal immigrants, who worked hard to obtain citizenship in order to pursue the American Dream speak to the crowd, they had illegal immigrants complain to everyone about how unfair it was to be in their position, despite putting themselves there in the first place.

True to the Democratic agenda of anti-nationalism, they invited undocumented immigrants, or if you prefer factually correct terms, illegal aliens, to speak on stage. One woman had her daughter in tow (for sympathy of course) who spoke to the audience herself, as the Washington Times reported.

“Karla Ortiz, 11, the U.S. citizen child, said in English that her parents ‘came here looking for a better life,’ but now she lives in fear of her parents being deported.

“‘I don’t feel brave every day. On most days I’m scared. I’m scared that at any moment my mom and my dad will be forced to leave. I wonder what if I come home and I find it empty,’ she said, joined by her mother Francisca Ortiz on the stage.”

The other illegal immigrant, according to the same article, to take to the stage was Astrid Silva, who lamented about how awful it would be if Trump got elected to be President of the United States.

“Minutes later another illegal immigrant, Astrid Silva, a Dreamer here under color of President Obama’s 2012 deportation amnesty, also took to the stage to blast GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“‘When Donald Trump talks about deporting 11 million people, he’s talking about ripping families apart,’ she said.”

Funny she mentions “ripping families apart,” when the policies that allow her to stay in America unchecked are doing just that. I wonder what these “undocumented citizens” think about people like Kate Steinle and Dominic Durden, both of whom are dead thanks to people who were free to live punishment and consequence free in America under President Obama’s corrupt policies. These were criminals who were not supposed to be here in the first place.

There is nothing American, or even logical, about open borders and allowing millions of unchecked foreigners into the country, especially in the times we live in, with both domestic and Islamic terrorism running amok.

How is putting non-American criminals before law-abiding American citizens good for our way of life? It’s past time for people to wake up. Democrats, if given the chance, will destroy this great country. Watch the Democratic convention with a keen eye, put aside your stances and beliefs for a few hours and as long as you’re a reasonable person, you will realize this to be true.

Our country, our very way of life, hangs in the balance.
