Donald Trump Reddit AMA: Republican Presidential Candidate To Host AMA During Democrat National Convention

Donald Trump may be responsible for breaking the internet later this week when he hosts an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on the r/TheDonald subreddit on Reddit.com. The Trump’s question and answer session will launch at 6:30 p.m. this Wednesday night. The Republican candidate will begin taking questions from everyone all around the world at 7:00 p.m. This is going to be happening at the same time as the Democrat National Convention is going on in Philadelphia. Speaking at the DNC on Wednesday night are Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama.

The r/TheDonald subreddit is known for being a place for people who are hopeful that Donald Trump will defeat Hillary in November. Currently, the announcement of his AMA is the leading post in r/TheDonald with 4,595 upvotes. In the past, Alex Jones, Roger Stone, Curt Schilling, Bill Mitchell, and many other supporters have taken the time to allow the Trump supporters on Reddit to ask them questions.

When news first broke about Trump’s AMA on Wednesday night, Twitter erupted.

Trump is coming off of a successful Republican National Convention, which has given him a bump in the polls. The latest CNN poll shows he is now leading Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House.

Trump’s current three-point lead that the poll shows is still within the margin of error which is listed at +/- 3.5 percent. The significance of the poll is that Donald Trump accomplished a rise in the poll of six points from last week to this week, while Clinton found her poll number fall by four points. Among Independent voters, Trump holds a double-digit lead over the former Secretary of State.

It is important for Trump supporters to understand that it is extremely common for candidates to see a bump in the first round of polling after a national convention. Hillary Clinton will very likely see her numbers bump up next week following the Democrat National Convention.

While Donald Trump is preparing for his AMA, he will be busy on the campaign trail. Today, Trump will have two campaign events. The first, in Virginia, will be with his running mate Mike Pence that will be a town hall event starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center. The second event will take place in North Carolina and will be a Donald Trump rally that will begin at 8:00 p.m. at the Winston-Salem Fairground Annex. Virginia and North Carolina are battleground states which have a total of 28 electoral votes up for grabs.

The states of Virginia and North Carolina will not be the only battleground states visited by Trump this week. He will be making campaign stops in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Colorado, and Arizona.
