Kim Kardashian Bravely Bares Painful Psoriasis Marks On The Red Carpet In Vegas

Kim Kardashian bravely bares painful psoriasis marks on her legs as she posed at Hakkasan in Las Vegas on Friday night. Kardashian has proven once again that the itchy, annoying condition was not going to stop her from having fun.

Despite revealing painful looking sores on her legs, the 35-year-old also proudly announced that evening that she had reached her post-baby goal weight of 120 lbs.

Kardashian has been vocally open about her struggles suffering with psoriasis since being diagnosed in 2011. Kim has talked about her experiences on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. What begins as a small, red flash on her legs, soon spreads all over the rest of her body.

Kim’s mother and manager, Kris Jenner, was also diagnosed with psoriasis when she began experiencing symptoms at the age of 30. Psoriasis is often a hereditary disease. Painful red blotches caused by the chronic and incurable skin condition are often a sign of the beginnings of a psoriasis breakout.

Daily Mail reported that Kim was in Las Vegas for a hosting gig at the popular nightclub Hakkasan and was joined by a group of girlfriends. The reality star was not afraid to bare some skin as she posed on the red carpet in a strapless black gown and a pair of strappy heels.

Kardashian bravely bared her irritated, patchy spots but everyone’s eyes were more focused on her amazing figure in a silk dress that clung to all the right places and Kim’s radiating smile. The black dress is a vintage John Galliano piece. Galliano is the former director of Dior who has created a legendary reputation for himself as a designer and also famously designed Kate Moss’s wedding dress.

When Kim was diagnosed with psoriasis back in 2011, her dermatologist recommended she lead a “slower-paced life” to try and control it, since stress can be a trigger for outbreaks of the painful disease. Obviously, that was not really an option for the reality star. Psoriasis can also be triggered by changes in hormonal balance caused by pregnancy. Kardashian has exhibited signs of heightened psoriasis irritation during her two pregnancies with daughter, North, and son, Saint.

Last year, Kardashian posed for a photo shoot in the desert wearing nothing but white body paint. The photo shoot process was filmed for Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kim explained that she prefers to be upfront about her skin condition at the beginning of a photo shoot.

And a year ago, as she posed for a nude photoshoot in the desert wearing only in body paint, she explained to her reality show viewers that she always explains her condition to the team she works with before the shoot begins.

“I have psoriasis, there is nothing I can do about it so there is no reason why I should feel uncomfortable.

“So to make myself feel better I lay out all my insecurities before we start a shoot in the hope that no one will be focused on that. I just want to do fun and artsy things.”

Kardashian has set a great example for others who suffer with psoriasis. Other media critics, like Radar Online, have bashed Kardashian, calling her visible psoriasis marks “disgusting” and a “wardrobe malfunction.” Tabloids referred to the reality star’s genetic skin condition as a fashion faux pas. Kardashian has maintained a positive attitude and ignores the viscous haters.

Kim Kardashian has proven time after time that she will not let her skin condition prevent her from accomplishing the success that she wants.

Kim has just been nominated for “Social Media Queen” for the 2016 Teen Choice Awards. It’s hard to imagine anyone who can top Kardashian’s social media game.
