Is Luke Pell The Next ‘Bachelor’? Official Announcement Coming On ‘After Paradise’ — Who Will Hand Out Roses In 2017? [Report]

When will Chris Harrison introduce the next Bachelor and which one of Bachelorette JoJo’s final four guys got the gig? Fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out who will be handing out roses in 2017, but those who are hoping to see Luke Pell, Chase McNary, Robby Hayes, or James Taylor as ABC’s next leading man may or may not be happy with the network’s pick.

[Warning: The Bachelorette Season 12 spoilers ahead]

On Monday night, JoJo heads to the Fantasy Suite with her final three guys, but first, she will eliminate one man who didn’t make the cut after hometown dates. JoJo reveals in ABC’s preview (below) that she knows she has to send Luke home, but breaks down in tears when he pulls her aside to tell her he loves her.

According to Reality Steve, their breakup sets the stage for Luke to be named the Bachelor 2017. Who wouldn’t want to watch a handsome, music-loving cowboy who bravely served in the military who goes on TV to find love and is broken-hearted? It sounds like the theme for a country music song, and it is the perfect backstory to sell him as the next Bachelor.

Not that fans have to be sold — Luke is extremely popular with fans on Twitter and has already amassed over 200,000 Instagram followers, a number that will undoubtedly increase when ABC shows him leaving the show on Monday night.

All signs point to Luke Pell being named the Bachelor 2017, and although ABC has not confirmed that he has signed a contract, Reality Steve states that, from what he’s heard, the gig will go to the 31-year-old war veteran.

What about the three other frontrunners — Robby Hayes, Chase McNary, and Jordan Rodgers — and the other guy rumored to be in line for the gig, fifth place contestant James McCoy Taylor?

Fans can count Jordan out. Not only is Reality Steve confident that he will win JoJo’s final rose, Jordan’s brother Luke Rodgers all but confirmed that JoJo and Jordan are engaged during an interview with Womanista.

And then there’s Jordan who told Bachelorette producers that he plans to marry JoJo. Those are some strong hints about the finale and a good reason to believe fans won’t see Jordan as the next Bachelor.

Although Chase McNary has a shot at becoming the next Bachelor, a previous report from the Inquisitr reveals that McNary has a bit of a meltdown and was a little nasty with JoJo in the Fantasy Suite when she sent him home — not a good look for a future Bachelor.

Robby Hayes may be a favorite with some fans, but the guy who is rumored to be this season’s runner-up has far too much bad press for ABC to choose him as the 2017 Bachelor. In addition to the rumors that he ended a long-term relationship to go on the Bachelorette running rampant online, WetPaint reports that he tried to pay Bachelor in Paradise stars Jade and Tanner Tolbert to promote him on Instagram so he would become more popular. Not cool, right?

That leaves fifth runner-up James Taylor as the other option for the next Bachelor. Although he is one of this season’s most loved men and Life & Style‘s unnamed sources say that the folks at ABC are “definitely considering him,” it looks like a long shot.

Reality Steve still maintains that host Chris Harrison will name Luke Pell as the next guy to hand out roses during one of the live After Paradise talk shows that airs during the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise (premiere date August 2).

Who would you like to see as the next Bachelor? Are you a fan of Luke Pell or are you hoping to see one of the other guys from JoJo’s season get the gig?
