California football fans can start their Sunday couch sitting marathons with a new breakfast donut burger thanks to Slater’s 50/50.

The new burger will only be available during the football season on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Slater’s 50/50 writes on Facebook:

“Meet our Donut Burger… Available on our breakfast menu (every Sat & Sun 9am-noon) during regular season football. That’s our 50/50 patty and a sunny side up egg sandwiched between two glazed donuts. With a side of jelly, of course.”

Surprisingly, the California restaurant isn’t the first to dream up a burger with donut buns. CBS reports that a similar concoction was presented at the New York State Fair this year.

The state fair’s donut burger, known as the Big KahunaDonut Burger, came with two donuts, a quarter pound of beef, and 15,000 calories. Slater’s 50/50′s concoction is bound to be a little lighter on the gut since it doesn’t include a quarter pound patty but it still can’t be the best way to start your day.
