‘The Flash’ Season 3 Spoilers: Trailer Released At Comic-Con Reveals New Villain And Finally Brings In Flashpoint

There is so much happening at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016, and TV shows are getting a lot of the focus. The CW is looking forward to a huge fall with its almost week-long comic book TV series line-up, and that includes The Flash in what could be the most exciting season yet. A new trailer was revealed for Season 3 today and it not only brings forth a couple of new villains, but it also finally introduces a storyline that everyone has been waiting for in Flashpoint.

Please let it be known that there could be possible spoilers ahead for the third season of The Flash on The CW. If you don’t want to know what may happen, then stop reading now.

At the end of last season, Barry traveled back in time even though he knew that the consequences could be huge and lead to a lot of problems. He went back to the time when his mother was murdered and actually stopped that from happening.

Doing that changed everything, but exactly how they were changed has not been fully revealed as of yet. Today at Comic-Con, a trailer for Season 3 of The Flash was unveiled and it shows something that everyone has been wanting to happen.

Yes, Season 3 will bring about a brand new timeline in Barry Allen’s world that is simply known as Flashpoint as pointed out by Comic Book Resources. All characters will change and there will be a lot of new things happening which includes a brand new Flash who will be played by Keiynan Lonsdale.

On another note, Barry still has his powers and that is going to put a whole new twist on things as Kid Flash/Wally West (Lonsdale) takes center stage.

According to Variety, two new villains will make their way into Barry’s world, and one hasn’t been revealed just yet, but it will be another speedster. Executive producer Aaron Helbing revealed that the other will be Doctor Alchemy, and he’s the guy in mask in the trailer.

“He’s a bad dude and he’s going to be a formidable adversary to The Flash and everyone on the team.”

Doctor Alchemy will be voiced by Tobin Bell who is best known for his role as Jigsaw in the Saw horror movie franchise.

So many problems are going to arise from Barry’s travel back in time and changing the past so he could better his own life. Nothing will be as it once was and while he thought he was fixing something, he actually made it much worse.

With the addition of Supergirl to The CW line-up this fall, that makes four serious superhero shows coming to fans each week. Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow are the other two along with The Flash, but that isn’t stopping new heroes from making cameo appearances.

Cinema Blend recently reported that it is very possible for fans to see Aquaman in the Flashpoint storyline in Season 3 of The Flash. There was no sign of him in the new trailer, but that is not something that The CW or DC is likely to give away until it’s time.

It’s kind of difficult to think that The Flash could get any better than it has been over the course of the first two seasons. Fortunately, everyone who has thought that is wrong and Season 3 looks as if it is going to be the biggest one yet. Flashpoint and the new villains are going to add so much more to Barry Allen’s world. Combine that with a possible Aquaman appearance along with the mega-crossover and things are about to get seriously real.
