The First ‘Justice League’ Trailer Premieres At San Diego Comic-Con 2016

The first trailer of the Justice League movie surprised all the fans present at the Warner Bros. panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The Justice League is a follow-up to the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Take a look at the video which was a surprise to many attendees in the Hall H at the Comic-Con 2016 in San Diego.

The trailer does indicate a different and lighter tone taken for this DC movie. For those who are just boarding this train, Zack Snyder would be directing the Justice League.

Warner Bros. had already released the synopsis of the Justice League movie and teased the fans to expect new superhero members.

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

While Warner Bros. anticipated the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to be a blockbuster, the negative reaction from the fans certainly had the studio worried. However, the movie did perform well at the box office.

Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War won the fans and also finished up the stand-alone Captain America movies quite well. Despite the superheroes getting divided into teams and were at conflict, there was a decent dose of humor.

That must have made Warner Bros. rethink their strategy about the DC Extended Universe. In order to convince the miffed nerds, Warner Bros. did invite a few media folks to London and shared loads of details about the Justice League. And the new approach is clearly visible in the first trailer of the Justice League.

Justice League will feature the stars who graced the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and also the ones who made a cameo in the movie. That means Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will meet the Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Amber Heard will play Aquaman’s wife, Queen Mera, and Willem Dafoe will play Vulko, a royal scholar, politician of Atlantis, and Aquaman’s mentor. Finally, J.K. Simmons will play a ripped Commissioner Gordon, reported Slashfilm.

The trailer mostly shows the light moments between the superheroes. The humorous side of the Batman is refreshing and surprising at the same time. Mostly because the Batman/Bruce Wayne character was rather dark and gritty in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, and even in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The three new superheroes -0 Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg — were spotted in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when Batman manages to decrypt the Meta Human Research files stolen from Lex Luthor.

In the trailer, the sequence where the Flash meets Batman certainly hints a great chemistry between both the characters. The Flash talks like a nerd and is enamored at the same time by Batman. It kind of reminds of the comical exchanges when the Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) goes to recruit Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in Captain America: Civil War.

On the other hand, the tattooed Aquaman emits an apathetic vibe and appears to be in conflict with Batman. Of course, the scene where Aquaman drinks alcohol straight out of a bottle does raise a brow. Wonder Woman did steal the hearts with her action in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and gives a glimpse so that the fans can expect more of her. Nothing much could be gauged about Cyborg from the trailer.

The fans are extremely curious to know whether Jared Leto will play The Joker, Batman’s ultimate nemesis, and make an appearance in the Justice League. Warner Bros. has scheduled the release of the Justice League on November 17, 2017.
