Rumors of a budding romance between Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy were seemingly proven as just that when he left for school and she resumed her own activities ahead of the Democratic National Convention. However, new interest in the couple was sparked after the two were reunited over the weekend in New England and they apparently resumed their relationship.
The couple reportedly hooked up over the summer, though the relationship was thought to be a fling when Kennedy headed back to school and Swift resumed her hectic work schedule. However, the two proved that they are still involved (despite being apart) on Saturday when they reunited at Taylor’s Tavern & Restaurant in Greenfield, Massachusetts for an intimate rendezvous in the quiet New England town near Kennedy’s prep school in Deerfield.
The 22-year-old singer and 18-year-old Kennedy “were very happy and very polite,” a source told People. “She was very sweet.”
The two enjoyed a quiet weekend together away from their busy schedules, indulging in the scenic offerings of rural Massachusetts and participating in an activity that pretty much cements their status as a serious romantic couple: antiquing.
They visited Deerfield’s Old Station Antiques on Saturday, a store located near Kennedy’s dorm. Swift left late in the afternoon on Sunday.
The couple’s status has been winked and teased at by media outlets, even amongst political news coverage. During the DNC, Caroline Kennedy talked politics in an interview on CBS This Morning with Charlie Rose and Norah O’Donnell, who asked her if she listens to Taylor Swift’s music. Caroline played coy, only responding “Romeo. Romeo, when I think about Mitt Romney, only.” and adding “We love Taylor Swift … she’s been a great friend and we’re happy for Conor,” continuing with a blessing: “If she wants to be in the family, she’s already a part of it.”
Do you think that Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy make a cute couple?
