Taylor Swift’s Squad Revolts And Calls Star A Liar? Swift Has No Case Against Kanye
Has Taylor Swift’s image of perfection begun to crack and crumble all at the hands of Kimye and their recorded admission by Swift on which the “Bad Blood” singer gives permission for Kanye to use her name on his “Famous” track? Reports are emerging that Taylor’s #squad is turning against the songstress due to her continual lies and denials about Kanye’s song that has been making headlines for months.

After months of denials by Swift and feuding between the singer and rapper, Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian finally literally set the record straight by posting a recorded conversation to her Snapchat account of Taylor Swift giving her permission for the rapper to use a line about her in his song.
Now, Taylor’s crew is reportedly outraged at the singer for her lies and attempt to cover up the truth. Gossip Cop shares the rumors that are flying about Swift and her squad.
“Selena Gomez and others are turning ‘against’ Taylor Swift, reports In Touch, which further notes the ‘Bad Blood’ singer’s ‘squad’ has started a ‘revolt.’ Swift is called a ‘liar’ on the cover of the magazine, and inside its pages not only is her current feud with Kim Kardashian examined, but the publication rehashes her previous clashes with Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, John Mayer, and Calvin Harris.”
The tabloid refers to the apparent anger from friends as a “#SquadRevolt!” and shares words of an apparent source who states “Some in her squad are talking about how relieved they are that the real Taylor is being exposed.” The source goes on to claim that Selena Gomez has been privately trashing Taylor because she “recently found out some pretty horrible stuff Taylor has said about her, including about her weight and choice of boyfriends.”
However, the gossip policing site reminds that In Touch does not have the best track record when it comes to their sources and rumor igniting. GC shares how the publication published a false story about Selena Gomez last year that stated the singer was suffering from drug addiction. Additionally, In Touch began a story that involved Taylor and Selena starring in a remake of Laverne & Shirley. Clearly, neither story is true and it’s unlikely that Gomez is revolting against her pal Taylor.

What is verified is that Swift did, in fact, give permission to Kanye to use a line about her in his song. This has been a hot topic over the past week due to the controversy over Swift’s ability to take legal action against Kim and Kanye for recording her when she had not given permission. Initially, reports were flying that Swift was set to take legal action and that the star had a case against the power couple. However, most recent reports indicate that certain details of the recording and conversation make it impossible to win a case in court against Kanye West.
The reason for this involves the fact that while Taylor spoke to West over the phone, she was aware that Rick Rubin was listening in on the conversation and participating in the chat over the track. Stereogum recently shared these legal facts.
“Under California law, it’s a crime to release a ‘confidential communication’ when the other party does not know they’re being taped, but ‘confidential communication’ does not include conversations that ‘may be overheard.’ Swift can hear Rick Rubin and several others contributing to the conversation. Thus, it looks like she’ll have to settle for writing the next ‘Bad Blood’ about Kimye in lieu of legal recompense.”
Taylor will surely find some way to repay Kanye’s lyrics about her in his track and will likely now involve some sort of reference to reality star Kim Kardashian, as well.
