Miranda Lambert Releases ‘Vice’ About Her Split With Blake Shelton, Did She Finally Admit To Cheating?

Miranda Lambert is finally opening up about her split with Blake Shelton.

The country singer released a new song this week, “Vice,” that highlights her struggles with The Voice star.

According to E! Online, Lambert’s new track is the first since her last album, Platinum, debuted two years ago. The song was written by Lambert with help from Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally and is clearly about her surprising breakup with Shelton.

“Another vice, another call, another bed I shouldn’t crawl out of,” Lambert sings. “At 7 a.m., with shoes in my hand said I wouldn’t do it, but I did it again / And I know I’ll be back tomorrow night.”

“Sweet salvation on a dining room table / Waiting on me, where the numb meets the lonely… Maybe I’m addicted to goodbyes,” she continues. “It’s gone before it ever melts the ice.”

According to Access Hollywood, Lambert hinted that a new song was in the works last week. The singer posted a few photos on social media that included shots of a guitar, a record player, cowboy boots, and, of course, cigarettes.

Then, Lambert shared a short video on Instagram about the inspiration behind “Vice.” Lambert hopes the song will help others who have experienced a rough time in their lives.

“I just hope that everybody that hears it can kind of feel like they’re not on an island,” she told fans. “That we all have things in our life that aren’t necessarily pleasant to talk about.”

Lambert also used the song to help get over a difficult time in her own life.

Lambert and Shelton divorced last summer after four years of marriage. They did not have any children together and dated for six years before tying the knot.

According to International Business Times, the details surrounding their divorce are unknown. However, rumors of infidelity have surfaced.

More recently, an inside source revealed that Lambert may have cheated on Shelton. Apparently, Miranda Lambert has been telling friends that her affair was the real reason behind the breakup.

The “Vice” singer reportedly believes that alcohol was part of her troubles and feels terrible with how things ended between her and Shelton.

Of course, neither Shelton nor Lambert have confirmed the rumors of infidelity and both have moved on with their lives since the split.

For Lambert, creating music is part of the recovery process.

“This song is just as honest as you can get about emotions, and letting raw emotions just live where they live until you move on to a happier place. It’s kind of the cycle of life. We can’t all be sunshine and roses every day,” she added. “I think when you go through something in your life that’s hard, you learn what you run to and what you run from and sometimes that comes full circle.”

Apart from the new song, Lambert has been very active in the country music scene. Lambert has been spotted on multiple occasions with her fellow country star and new boyfriend, Anderson East.

“Miranda adores Anderson. They understand each other,” an insider explained. “Anderson has given Miranda this confidence she hasn’t felt in some time. They are very supportive with each other and their careers.”

Lambert is also gearing up to appear alongside Kenny Chesney in his “Spread the Love Tour” this summer. Naturally, Lambert is expected to debut her new track on the tour.

A day after releasing the new song, Lambert shared a cute photo of her kissing East on Instagram.

“Happy Birthday to my favorite ‘Bama’ boy!” she wrote alongside the image.

Lambert and East first appeared on the red carpet together during the Academy of Country Music Awards in Nashville back in April.
