Ivanka Steals RNC Spotlight From Dad Donald Trump: Twitter Wants Her To Run For President

If Twitter determined the next President, Ivanka Trump would be front and center in the running. That’s the consensus after Donald Trump’s daughter earned a positive reception to her speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on July 21, pointed out Us Weekly.

The oldest daughter of Donald Trump, Ivanka charmed viewers as she spoke and introduced her 70-year-old dad. Prior to cheering as her father officially accepted the GOP’s presidential nomination, Ivanka focused on praising Trump rather than slamming Hillary Clinton.

In her speech, she emphasized her dad’s qualifications in terms of how he has succeeded as a businessman and parent. In addition, based on her own experience working with her father, Ivanka lauded him as a colleague. She followed up by asking those listening to cast their vote for Trump in November.

“For more than a year, Donald Trump has been the people’s champion,” emphasized Ivanka.

But many thought that the Trump they wanted most was Donald’s daughter rather than her father. In her eloquent speech, Ivanka even responded to those who argued that her father was not qualified because he had no experience within the political system.

“Real change is only going to come from outside of the system … I have seen him fight for his employees. Now, I am seeing him fight for his country.”

In addition, to those who were concerned that Donald would not play fair when it came to women in the workplace, Ivanka cited her own experience. The mother of three, whose business interests include a fashion collection (Donald’s daughter stunned in a soft pink frock, priced at $138 from her style line), discussed the issue of whether other women could expect help from her dad when it came to equal pay for equal work.

“Politicians talk about wage equality, but my father has made it a practice at his company,” claimed Ivanka.

She promised that she would work along with her father to change labor laws. In addition, Donald’s daughter also addressed the question of child care. Affordable child care has become an issue for parents who need to work but can’t afford a daycare.

“[My father] will work for equal pay for equal work, and I will fight for it too right alongside of him,” vowed Ivanka. “As president, my father will change the labor laws … child care [will be] affordable and accessible for all.”

Twitter as well as the audience responded with cheers for Ivanka.

Among those supporting the writer and former model for President were other celebrities. Mia Farrow took to Twitter to post her support.

“When is Ivanka running for President?” asked the actress.

Donald’s daughter even got a vote from a former Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman.

“Umm can we skip the circus act and just elect Ivanka for president? #weapon #RNCinCLE.”

While Twitter users were cheering for Ivanka as President, her papa had previously talked about having Ivanka run with him for vice president. He made the comment when he was visiting Live With Kelly And Michael in 2015.

Trump insisted that he was joking to avoid having the media trumpet headlines proclaiming that he wanted his daughter in the White House with him.

“I have to say, I’m kidding because the press will then go with it: ‘Trump wants to make Ivanka vice president.'”

Despite saying he was joking, Trump could not resist an addendum.

“They’ll make a big deal … Although she would be good, I will say,” stated the proud parent.

And while Twitter stays focused on Ivanka for President, someone other than her dad has suggested that she run with him for Vice-President. Talking with NBC News, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker proposed that rather than himself as Trump’s vice presidential nominee, Ivanka should fill the role.

“His best running mate by the way would be Ivanka,” recommended Corker. “I know that wouldn’t pass muster probably but I don’t know if I’ve met a more composed, brilliant, beautiful in every way person.”
