Jennifer Aniston: Tabloids Continue To Disrespect Star With More Pregnancy Rumors Despite Essay
Last week, Jennifer Aniston shared her frustration about tabloids constantly fabricating stories about her, and she primarily focused on those stories centered around pregnancy news and a non-existent baby bump. The 47-year-old has been the subject of such rumors for over a decade now, and it seems Aniston finally had enough when photographers snapped a picture of the star on the beach while on vacation looking a tad bit bloated following a large meal. Of course, rumors swirled that the temporarily expanded midsection was due to a pregnancy.

In an attempt to respond once and for all to the constant rumors, Aniston decided to pen an essay for the Huffington Post to kindly urge tabloids to move on and find more important stories to cover. Jen wrote in a straightforward manner, and her message was impossible to miss: stop body-shaming and focusing on a fictional pregnancy. As the star has already relayed in previous interviews, this a touchy subject.
“I wanted to participate in a larger conversation that has already begun and needs to continue. For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of ‘journalism’, the ‘First Amendment’ and ‘celebrity news.'”
Despite the well-worded essay, which did seem to slightly tame the rumor mill, not all tabloids heeded the Cake star in her plea to be respected. Specific tabloids just won’t quit insisting that Aniston is still showing a baby bump after denying her pregnancy. Gossip Cop has fully debunked the worn-out pregnancy rumor that resurfaced last month after the beach and bikini pic of the star was snapped, and the publication has now got it right in slamming those webloids that continue to push this story.

The publication notes the blatant disrespect that these publications are showing to the star.
“The star was admittedly so ‘fed up’ with the false stories that she penned an op-ed for the Huffington Post, in which she both declared that she’s NOT with child and ripped the gossip media for its repeated lies. And now we have RadarOnline showing complete disrespect with a piece on Friday that asks, ‘Still Not Expecting?'”
In the piece by RadarOnline, recent photos that show a tiny hint of a belly seem to be reason enough for the tabloid to continue with the rumor about Aniston. The piece does exactly what the star has stated she is so fed up about. GC notes the tabloid’s ridiculous assumptions that are made based on clothing and a tiny bit of belly on the ultra healthy star.
“Jennifer Aniston insists she isn’t pregnant, but is the proof in the photos? The actress continued to display a fuller figure while vacationing in Italy. Naturally, there’s a photo gallery to score extra clicks, with the site claiming her ‘flowing frock didn’t hide’ the supposedly ‘burgeoning bump.'”
The article concludes with an attempt to totally disregard Jennifer Aniston’s own words about her situation. The tabloid ends with the obligatory question, “Do you think Aniston is finally expecting?” Clearly, she is not. Perhaps the tabloids must be reminded of the important, larger issue that Aniston has stated gets perpetuated by continuing with such rumors.
“The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty…Is she pregnant? Is she eating too much? Has she let herself go? Is her marriage on the rocks because the camera detects some physical ‘imperfection’?”
Well stated, Jennifer Aniston.
