HBO’s Game Of Thrones had its name called six times during the Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday night.

The epic drama series won awards for Outstanding Makeup, Costumes, Art Direction, Special Visual Effects, Sound Mixing, and Sound Editing. HBO claimed another 11 awards for the night thanks to shows like Boardwalk Empire, Hemingway & Gelhorn, Girls and Game Change.

Frozen Planet from the Discovery Channel, Great Expectations from Masterpiece, and Saturday Night Live tied for the second most awards with four.

The Creative Arts Emmys focus on the work that goes on behind the scenes but there were a few individual awards for actors and actresses handed out last night. Jimmy Fallon won an award for guest hosting Saturday Night Live, Martin Scorcese won for best director of non-fiction piece for his documentary on George Harrison, and Kathy Bates won for guess starring in Two and a Half Men as Charlie Sheen’s ghost.

The winners were announced on the same night of SNL’s 38th season premiere.

Fallon, who starred on the late night show before moving on to his own talk show, wrote:

“Like I said – it was my DREAM to be on SNL – let alone host… Speechless. Thanks.”

The Creative Arts Emmys are a precursor to the Primetime Emmy Awards which will be held on Sept. 23.
