‘Vanderpump Rules’ Stassi Schroeder Opens Up About Her Split From Patrick Meagher: ‘I Want To Kill Myself’

Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder opened up about her recent split from Patrick Meagher during an episode of her podcast series, Straight Up With Stassi, earlier this week.

After initially announcing her breakup on Twitter, the reality star and podcast host confirmed the news with her audience and explained why she and Meagher finally put an end to their on-again, off-again relationship.

“I’ve been trying to find the will to do this Podcast because I’m just sad, and I really don’t have anything to say that’s just uplifting,” Stassi Schroeder explained to listeners, according to a report by Reality Tea on July 21. “I’m going to talk about myself and what I’m going through.”

Stassi Schroeder began dating Patrick Meagher, who hosts his own radio show, after filming Season 2 of Vanderpump Rules and quickly moved into his New York City apartment. However, their relationship was rocky from the start and after moving together to Los Angeles, things between them appeared to get worse.

After telling listeners she need somebody to throw her “some meds,” Stassi Schroeder welcomed her younger sister, Georgi, to her podcast, explaining, “I just can’t do an alone podcast and like talk to a wall and want to kill myself because, like, I actually like feel like I want to kill myself.”

Stassi Schroeder expressed her frustrations with her relationship with Meagher during an episode of Vanderpump Rules Season 4. After moving out of the home they once shared and into Kristen Doute’s home, Stassi Schroeder spoke of their ongoing bickering and frequent breakups.

“I really love Patrick, and I’m in love with Patrick, and I think he’s a wonderful person. He’s funny and smart and everything I would want in a person, but we can’t get it together. We don’t not fight,” Stassi Schroeder continued. “He thinks I’m selfish, I think he’s judgmental. Then it just escalates … We argue all the time. It’s not about getting rid of Patrick, it’s about getting rid of this routine. We fight all the time.”

Stassi Schroeder admitted that while she wanted to be a housewife when she and Meagher first met, she now has other motivations, which are likely driven by her successful career which recently landed her a movie role and role in Bravo’s Summer House. She also said it was difficult for couples, not just her and Meagher, to grow together when the individuals in the relationships were ever-evolving.

Although Stassi Schroeder has continued to appear on episodes of Vanderpump Rules since her relationship with Meagher began years ago, the radio host has chosen to stay away from the cameras completely.

“My heart can’t take something unstable anymore,” Stassi Schroeder added.

Around the time of Stassi Schroeder’s split from Meagher, she welcomed her ex-boyfriend, Jax Taylor, to her Podcast to discuss how to deal with cheaters. As fans may recall, Taylor infamously cheated on Stassi Schroeder years ago with her close friend, Kristen Doute, who was dating his close friend, Tom Sandoval, at the time.

While things between Stassi Schroeder were strained for years, they appear to have put their past drama behind them and agreed to move forward. That said, there is certainly no chance for a reconciliation between these two as Taylor has been happily dating Brittany Cartwright for over a year.
