Taylor Swift Squashes Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Feud As Singer’s Reputation Allegedly Plummets

Taylor Swift is taking the high road in her ongoing feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, having realized that entertaining the drama is actually beginning to hurt her reputation.

Swift, who hasn’t been able to catch a break from the headlines in recent months, was said to have been stunned when the hashtags #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty and #KimExposedTaylorParty began trending following Kim Kardashian’s decision to leak the conversation between Swift and Kanye West regarding the “Famous” track.

The rapper was said to have reached out to Taylor as he geared up for the release of the song back in January, which includes the following lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**** famous.”

At the time, Taylor Swift firmly denied knowing anything about the song, admitting that the twosome had a conversation but certain parts of the song were never played to her. She would go on to dedicate her Grammy acceptance speech to Kanye, subliminally suggesting that the rapper was deliberately attacking her, and even suggested that he was lying about her knowledge of the song.

Again, the audio leak proved that Taylor Swift was in the know the entire time. More to the matter, the “Style” singer even gave her approval and called the reference rather flattering as she began to giggle.

Hollywood Life stresses that Taylor has decided to step away from the drama. She hasn’t made herself look good in the situation she’s put herself in, and chances are that instead of having her PR team try to soothe the situation, it’s better to just stay off social media until the drama dies out.

“For the time being, Taylor [Swift] has decided to not argue with Kim [Kardashian] and Kanye [West]. This is a fight she doesn’t want and never thought would become as big as it has,” a source dished.

“After the most recent spat on social media and the subsequent trolling and negative hashtags that emerged about her, she has realized that she does not want to go after Kim and Kanye on social media because she doesn’t want the Kardashians’ combined 500 million social media followers to troll her and attack her back.”

Taylor Swift has a strong social media following of her own, but after having seen how people turned on her with the harsh hashtags that were made, calling her everything from fake to the real-life version of the Mean Girls character Regina George, Swift might have underestimated the Kardashians and their social media on Twitter and Snapchat.

It is unclear what the singer plans on doing next, especially since her feuds with Katy Perry and Calvin Harris still haven’t been squashed yet either. Taylor is believed to be set to return to the studio later this year to record her forthcoming album, and with all the scandals she’s put herself through in recent months, there should be enough material to record a full-length record.

Taylor Swift reportedly wanting to squash her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West comes just weeks after it was confirmed that the singer’s rival, Katy Perry, is expected to release her highly-anticipated album later this year. And according to Radar Online, Katy has readied a diss track of her own, in response to Swift’s “Bad Blood.”
