Did Baton Rouge Shooter Gavin Long Date Tiffany Pollard? Report Connects Police Killer To ‘Flavor Of Love’ Reality Star

Baton Rouge shooter Gavin Long may have once dated Flavor of Love reality star Tiffany Pollard, with a picture emerging of the cop killer as a ladies man who once bragged about sleeping with 75 women.

The 29-year-old former Marine was accused of opening fire on police officers in Baton Rouge last week in a calculated attack that left three dead before Long was killed by police. Long was an outspoken and often violent critic of police tactics, especially in incidents against black men. His attack came close to two weeks after police officers in Baton Rouge had opened fire on Alton Sterling, a black man who had been selling CDs in a convenience store parking lot.

But there is another story taking shape about Gavin Long, showing him as a man obsessed with sex and connected to Tiffany Pollard of Flavor of Love. The Daily Mail published a photograph of the two looking very close, with Pollard sitting on Long’s lap with her leg wrapped around his. Although the report did not elaborate on their relationship, other media outlets suggested that they had dated.

Tiffany Pollard is one of the best-known reality television stars from VH1, first appearing on the show Flavor of Love in which a group of women competed for the affections of Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav. She was a fan-favorite on the show, earning the nickname “New York” from the rapper. Pollard later starred on her own show, I Love New York.

This year, she appeared on the British version of Celebrity Big Brother, finishing fourth.

She has been connected to the Baton Rouge shooter as details emerge about his allegedly womanizing past. As the Daily Mail noted, Gavin Long was the host of a podcast where he bragged about his work as an author and life coach.

“In the podcast, which is part of a series, Long described himself as a smart, wealthy operator who has hustled from a young age by loaning money to other people at school.

“He said that in 2008 after coming back from serving in Japan and Iraq with the military, he lived the high life and partied with celebrities with his savings while stationed in San Diego, California.

Long claims that all his friends were taller than him but even though he was the ‘shortest guy in the clique’ he ‘pulled the most chicks.'”

In the days since the deadly Baton Rouge shooting, a clearer picture has emerged of Gavin Long and his motives for the attack. CNN reported on Wednesday that Long told friends and family that he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving in Iraq. Long joined the Marine Corps in 2005, working as a data specialist.

The report noted that he was taking Ativan, an anti-anxiety drug, and also had prescriptions for Valium and the sleep aid Lunesta. But the report added that it was not clear if Gavin Long was ever formally diagnosed with PTSD.

Police said that Long showed a great deal of planning in his attack, stalking the police officers before opening fire in an attack that left three dead and three others wounded.

“There is no doubt whatsoever that these officers were targeted and assassinated,” Louisiana State Police Col. Michael D. Edmonson said Monday.

Long also visited Dallas, where days before another gunman had opened fire on police in an attack that left five officers dead. The Baton Rouge shooter had uploaded a YouTube video from the Texas city on July 10, saying that the Fourth of July holiday represented a strike against tyranny, just as he saw the Dallas attack.

“One-hundred percent have been successful through fighting back. Through bloodshed,” he said in the video. “Zero have been successful just over simply protesting. It has never worked, and it never will.”

For all the reports connecting the pair this week, Flavor of Love star Tiffany Pollard has not commented on her potential relationship with Baton Rouge shooter Gavin Long.
