‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Casting For Multiple Parts – Get The Details [Spoilers]

Warning: Possible spoilers for The Vampire Diaries are below.

The Vampire Diaries is currently casting for Season 8 and the series is looking to cast multiple parts. Keep reading, get all the details, and find out what this means for TVD fans.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, The Vampire Diaries is losing cast members. That tends to happen on a supernatural show like TVD. With the possibility that Season 8 may be the last, the show wants the upcoming episodes to be the best.

So far, fans already know to expect Sybil, a devious character who is immortal. It is not known if she will help the TVD characters, if she is the mystery creature, or a separate villain from the creature that was inside the vault. TVLine reported that Christina Moses and Kristen Gutoskie are moving to Julie Plec’s other shows, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. In TVD, Gutoskie will play a nanny of two children, which fans are assuming will be Alaric (Matt Davis) and Caroline’s (Candice King) Gemini twins.

However, there are more parts available, and The Vampire Diaries is looking for the right extras to fill the roles. According to Project Casting, the show is looking for several extras to play TV news anchors, interns, and news crew members. It definitely sounds like Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo’s (Michael Malarkey) killing spree along the West coast will be featured.

As fans recall from the season finale of The Vampire Diaries, Damon and Enzo were both affected by the mystery monster inside the vault. First, it was Ian Somerhalder’s’ character. Later, when Enzo went to save Damon, he ended being taken over as well. Now, the vampires are missing, which puts Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) in a difficult spot. Not only has she lost both Damon and Enzo, but her magic as well.

Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), Caroline Forbes, and Bonnie Bennett will be searching for Damon and Enzo. Alaric will also be helping and due to Bonnie’s lost magic, the foursome will have to locate the vampires the old-fashioned way. Stefan was seen looking at maps and the other information the group gets from news reports. It turns out that Damon and Enzo will be on a massive killing spree along the West coast. Not only are they taking bodies and killing them, but they’re hanging them upside down in some sort of warehouse. It almost appears as if they are draining the bodies completely of blood.

For those interested in trying to get on The Vampire Diaries in Season 8, the filming location will be during late July in Georgia. The news anchor should be between the ages of 28 and 50. The gender and ethnicity do not matter. However, casting directors were told that TVD is looking for “business and reporter types.” Filming will take place on July 25 in Decatur, Georgia.

As for the intern extras, they should be between the ages of 18 and 28. Gender and ethnicity are open, but they are looking for “nerdy” or “scholarly student” types of individuals. Filming will take place on July 21.

Regarding the news crew, the ages specified are 21 to 50. The ethnicity is open, and so is the gender. However, like the news anchor, The Vampire Diaries only wants business professional types of actors.

The extras will be paid $60 for 8 hours of work. Keep in mind that many extras can work 12-hour or longer days. Other requirements include living in or near Atlanta, Georgia.

What do you think of The Vampire Diaries Season 8 casting call? What does it mean for the storyline when TVD returns to The CW network? Fans will just have to wait until fall 2016 to find out.
