Bethenny Frankel 4-Year Divorce Battle With Jason Hoppy Finally Over?

After four years of contentious battles to bring their marriage to a close, Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have finally resolved the issues and reached a settlement.

The Real Housewives of New York City star has officially finalized her divorce with her ex Jason Hoppy. Bernard Clair, Hoppy’s attorney, confirmed earlier this week that the divorce case is finally resolved and a settlement has come after a lengthy duration of disputes and attempted negotiations.

Although the case is private, and exact details cannot be shared as to what sort of settlement was reached, Clair did speak on behalf of Frankel’s ex, as People shares, noting that Jason is very pleased with the reached settlement.

“Jason is thrilled that this chapter of his life is over; he is extremely pleased with the settlement that was reached. Jason looks forward to the future and enjoying that time privately with family, friends and most important to him, his daughter.”

Allan Meyefsky, Bethenny’s attorney, also indicated that sharing details was not in the best interest of his client or his client’s daughter, yet he did relay that the reality star and entrepreneur is “ecstatic” and relieved that she can now move on with her life.

“Out of respect for her privacy and the well-being of her daughter, Bethenny is declining to comment. We can confirm that the divorce has been resolved. Our client is ecstatic that this long chapter is over, and she is looking forward to moving on with her life.”

Being the outspoken and direct woman that she is, Frankel has been quite candid about the struggles she has endured and hurdles she has overcome over the four-year battle with Hoppy. The former couple share six-year-old daughter Bryn, and were married for three years. Frankel and Hoppy announced their split in December of 2012 following months of rumors that they were struggling in their relationship.

In April, the Bravo star spoke with People and shared that she felt the divorce process had “gone on way too long.” The publication expands on additional details Frankel shared in the interview.

“I feel like I’m on the 18th hole of the golf round now. I feel like we’re here,” Frankel said. “I feel like I survived something. When it all shakes down, I’ll be a woman who has not kind of just felt backed into a corner. I stayed strong and I did what was best for myself, my daughter, for women.”

One of the biggest points of contention was who would receive the Tribeca apartment that the two had lived in during their marriage. Although Bethenny had purchased the property prior to meeting Jason, Jason argued that based on legal documents, he was entitled to the space. The issue was settled earlier this year and Hoppy finally vacated Frankel’s apartment. She spoke on her Sirius XM radio show, B Real with Bethenny, of the relief, as well as the bitter-sweet emotion she felt when she was able to enter the space, after such a drawn out ordeal.

“I walked in and it just washed over me. I sobbed for hours. It was like this release. And you always think things are going to be one way. I thought it was going to be, like, the biggest party ever. I’d be rollerskating through there with my top off, my t— hanging out, so excited – and there’s nothing good about any of it. It was all just remembering moving in there. It was a hideous experience, and I just didn’t know how to even process the feeling.”

As Bravo has shared on their website, Frankel truly is moving on and seems to be doing better than ever, with a new man by her side and massively successful business. She certainly came out the other side victorious.
