Watch And Listen To Mark Hamill Channel The Joker In ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ During Star Wars Celebration

One of the anticipated animated films of all time is getting closer to release every single day, and it wasn’t meant to be a part of the Star Wars Celebration 2016, but it made its way in. Batman: The Killing Joke will soon have its one-night release in theaters before heading to DVD and Blu-ray, but Mark Hamill wanted fans at the SWC 2016 to get a taste of The Joker, so he decided to let them hear him in glorious fashion.

During an appearance at the Star Wars Celebration 2016 in Europe, Hamill was speaking of a number of things with numerous members of the cast. Those in attendance could not help but be excited about those sitting before them and the information coming forth, but there was so much more.

During the presentation, Hamill began talking about Batman: The Killing Joke and how it isn’t necessarily suitable for children as per Collider. He started talking about the serious nature of the story and how really is not something that kids should experience whether it is in the form of the graphic novel or the animated film.

He started talking about a few other things as well, and that includes writer Alan Moore probably hating it and how it came to be. The R-rated animated feature will have the iconic Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman and Hamill reprising his vocal role as The Joker, and so far, it looks immaculate.

Hamill thinks that Batman: The Killing Joke truly deserved an R-rating and that it is something that needed to be done. It is a film and a story that deserved to be told with the sheer violence and brutality that was brought to the table in the first place.

Batman: The Killing Joke is set for release on DVD and Blu-ray on August 2, and it can be pre-ordered already. The movie is also going to screen in limited theaters nationwide for one night only on July 25, 2016. If you’re lucky enough to see it in theaters, you should really do yourself a favor and get that done.

Once some of those topics were finished being discussed, Hamill decided to give a short monologue to the crowd at Star Wars Celebration 2016. Not only did he give a monologue from Batman: The Killing Joke, but he gave it in full character as none other than The Joker himself.

It is highly recommended that you watch this and revel in it as the release of the film can’t come soon enough.

For someone to have the privilege of saying they are Luke Skywalker during their life, that is something to be cherished and desired. Being able to also say that you are one of the truest versions of The Joker that the world has ever known is something to be honored and beloved.

Mark Hamill has the great pleasure of saying he is both one of the greatest heroes and greatest villains of all time. Those are just a couple of reasons that the fans love him so much, but as long as he is alive, more will simply keep on coming.

Batman: The Killing Joke has really caught the attention of a lot of people over the years and for good reasons. It is one of the most iconic graphic novels of all time and DC Comics did the right thing by turning it into an animated feature with an R-rating. Mark Hamill is reveling in being a part of that by voicing The Joker and he wanted to make sure that those at Star Wars Celebration 2016 were able to enjoy it in person.
