Jimmy Fallon: The Pied Piper Of Pokémon

Jimmy Fallon always strives to entertain his audiences by inviting guests who are sure to spice up The Tonight Show. Recently, Jimmy invited Melissa McCarthy, the comedy actress, to talk about the latest Ghostbusters movie in which she plays one of the lead roles.

In the midst of the show, Jimmy and Melissa played an interesting game called “Sneak Peak” in which each of the players had to strike up a conversation with the other player by randomly picking up the words that were given to them. Jimmy and Melissa were given a stack of words, and each of them had to insert the words into their conversation by making the flow of their discussion as smooth as possible. According to Perez Hilton, the result of the game was an awkwardly hilarious conversation.

The audience was entertained by the chat which was largely based on various topics like Pokémon Go and Michael McDonald.

Apart from amusing games, Jimmy Fallon’s show features sections like the popular lip-sync battles that have always been a firm audience favorite. In fact, the segment, which originated on Jimmy Fallon’s show, was so popular that soon turned into its own standalone TV show. According to Us Magazine, Jimmy teamed up with singer Ariana Grande to take lip-synching to a whole new level.

The pair came up with a hilarious video that was based on Ariana’s hit single “Into You.” The video turned out to be even more hilarious when Jimmy and Ariana took advantage of Snapchat filters to spice up their roles in the video. The awesome clip showed Ariana and Jimmy making use of all the available filters while lip-synching to the hit song.

Ariana Grande still managed to look sweet while trying out various disguises that included mustaches, beards, and also a giant piece of bread. On the other hand, Jimmy Fallon struggled to keep his mouth open by trying out another amusing filter.

Audiences could see the starlet and the talk show host catching up with the rhythm of the song by superimposing their faces with cats’ ears, teddy-bear noses, rainbow mouths, and other fancy Snapchat filters. Later, Ariana shared the link to the video on her Twitter account and declared Jimmy Fallon to be her favorite celebrity.

Longtime fans would know that this wasn’t the first time that Jimmy Fallon had teamed up with the “Dangerous Woman” singer on his show. In an earlier episode, the duo performed a short skit in which they lip-synced their conversion by borrowing lines from pop songs, discussing everything from their Throwback Thursday Instagram posts to their weekend plans. Ariana had also performed her “Dangerous Woman” number on the show.

The Tonight Show isn’t the only platform that helps Jimmy Fallon to unleash the child inside him. According to Yahoo!, Jimmy Fallon is a big fan of Pokémon and he has become addicted to the recently launched Pokémon Go mobile game.

The newly launched Pokémon Go app has hooked many celebrities who have posted their positive reviews on social media. However, unlike other celebrities, Jimmy Fallon has discovered a creepy side-effect of the game that uses the GPS and mapping abilities of the user’s smartphone to trace the geographical location of a Pokémon.

Jimmy Fallon decided to lure the fictional creature to his location with the hope that it will fall into his trap and get caught. To his surprise, Jimmy found that hundreds of kids had gathered outside his building to try to catch the Pokémon that he had lured. According to the rules of the newly launched mobile game, the Pokémon trainer has to physically move to the Pokémon’s location in order to catch it. So when Jimmy Fallon lured the Pokémon to his home, he indirectly attracted numerous kids who were hunting the creature that he had enticed.
