‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Spoilers — Sarah Drew Teases Jackson And April Reunion

Are Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) reuniting in Season 13 of Grey’s Anatomy?

Drew recently teased that the couple might work out their differences when Grey’s Anatomy returns this fall.

According to Unreality TV, producers haven’t revealed their plans for the new season just yet, but Drew is confident that April’s relationship will be sorted out sooner rather than later.

“The only thing that I know is that we pick up right where we left off,” Drew explained.

The Grey’s Anatomy star might not know much about the upcoming season, but she knows that April and Jackson have some unfinished business to work out.

“I think the big question we’re left with is what’s going to happen with April and Jackson,” Drew continued. “They’ve been through so much together and I feel like this baby could really bring them back together.”

Does this mean that April and Jackson will get back together in the new season?

For Drew, the question doesn’t have a clear-cut answer. For those who are longing for reconciliation, it may not be in the cards.

“You never know,” she said. “They may just learn how to co-parent in a really beautiful way.”

Grey’s Anatomy has been mum about the future of April and Jackson. While fans have to wait until the new season to find out, Drew hopes that the couple will find a way to rekindle their romance.

“My heart always moves forward reconciliation. I just want everything to work out and be okay and be happy,” Drew shared. “I want what’s best for this baby in every possible way, and I think the best thing for the baby is for Jackson and April to be together and raise the baby together.”

According to Design & Trend, the couple finalized their divorce last season. However, their situation quickly changed after April found out she was pregnant.

Their situation complicated after Jackson’s mother Catherine (Debbie Allen) pushed him to sue his ex-wife because he wasn’t made aware of the pregnancy during the divorce proceedings.

Of course, Jackson didn’t follow his mom’s advice and in the Season 12 finale, the estranged coupled welcomed a baby into the world.

Unfortunately, the finale ended before fans learned whether or not Jackson and April are ready to get back together.

As far as Williams is concerned, he told TV Line that April and Jackson still have a lot of work to do if they want to salvage their marriage.

“It’s day to day with Jackson and April. They can have a very civil, mature conversation one moment, then be at each other’s throats the next because real life is like that,” he stated. “We carry frustrations and baggage and grudges.”

Despite the myriad of issues, Williams believes that the characters are still in love. Will the baby help bring them back together?

According to Vine Report, the pair started rebuilding their broken relationship during the finale. If that trend continues in the new season, fans can expect a promising outcome for the tragic couple.

“It’s a very passionate relationship with a lot of history behind it,” Williams added.

That being said, there is always the possibility that Jackson’s mom will get in the way of their future happiness. After all, she already tried to destroy their relationship for good following the divorce.

Will she manipulate Jackson to keep him away from April?

Although fans have enjoyed watching Williams over the years, Hof Mag reports that his controversial speech on BET might get him booted from the series. If that happens, then April and Jackson will obviously part ways next season.

The Season 13 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy will air September 22 on ABC.
