Joel Madden And Good Charlotte Return With ‘Youth Authority’: First Album In Six Years

Joel Madden and the other members of the recently-reunited Good Charlotte will shortly be releasing Youth Authority, their sixth studio album, on July 15. Youth Authority will be the band’s first album release since Cardiology in 2010.

Joel Madden and his twin brother Benji have based the album on the theme on the highs and lows of life. The brothers have conveyed the idea that obtaining familial bliss is the cornerstone of a happy life. The album features tracks like “Stray Dog,” which touches on the themes of isolation and the struggle to find one’s place in the world.

According to People magazine, Joel Madden has channeled his childhood pain in the lyrics of the songs on his new album. Joel’s family became stranded when his father abandoned them during his teens: an event that has shaped his life and his opinions about family and the world at large. Joel Madden holds the opinion that finding love and security amidst your family serves as the greatest joy. In fact, Joel is grateful to his family members for filling his life with love. According to People magazine, Joel spoke about how his blissful marriage with Nicole Richie has made his life feel like it is perfect.

“There are moments where you feel like life is perfect, and you want to stay in that moment forever, and that’s how we feel: really blessed and lucky.”

Joel Madden’s sometimes-blissful state of mind is reflected in his new single “Life Can’t Get Much Better,” that also features on Good Charlotte’s new album.

Despite being happily married, Joel Madden has been battling rumors of marital problems – and even reports of impending divorce – with Nicole. According to Radar Online, Joel and Nicole have differences in opinion when it comes to family planning.

Radar Online reports that the celebrity couple has decided to not have any additional children for now by way of a compromise. This will help them to not only raise their children in the best way but will also give them the opportunity to work out any problems that they might be having in their marriage.

Earlier, rumors about the couple’s divorce cropped up when the 37-year-old Joel Madden was romantically linked to several different women. An insider has revealed that Joel and Nicole have sought the help of a marriage counselor to work out their differences. Nicole will reportedly use the marriage counseling sessions to focus on dealing with issues regarding her weight, while Joel will work on anger management. Joel Madden married Nicole in 2010 and the couple has two children, Harlow and Sparrow, from the marriage.

Joel’s son and daughter are big fans of his music and they love to go on tour with him. Based on his childhood experiences, Joel Madden makes an effort to feel grateful for his career and the family he has created for himself.

As much as he loves his wife and children, it seems that Joel Madden loves nothing more than working with his brother Benji to inspire their fans with their experiences. During their teen days, the brothers had nothing except the American Dream to cherish, and it was the pursuance of this dream that encouraged them to establish their music band and achieve success. According to People magazine, Joel expressed pride for himself and his brother for establishing themselves at a time when the odds were stacked against them.

“We landed on our feet. There was a whole bunch of different ways it could have gone wrong, and the thing I’m most proud of is we ended up okay as a band and as people.”

Recently, the Madden brothers and their Good Charlotte band entertained their fans by performing at the grand finale of The Voice, the Australian talent show. This was the band’s first television performance in more than six years, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. According to the Daily Mail, Joel Madden and his band members won a standing ovation for performing the hit single from their upcoming album.
