Tara Reid Says She Was Bullied By Jenny McCarthy During Bizarre Radio Interview

Tara Reid probably won’t be returning as a guest on Jenny McCarthy’s Sirius XM radio show anytime soon. Reid stopped by McCarthy’s show to talk about the fourth installment of the Sharknado franchise, but things took a frosty turn very quickly as the two women had an on-air catfight. People posted audio of the bizarre exchange between Tara and Jenny, which ended with Tara Reid walking out of the interview.

While Tara Reid was supposed to be on McCarthy’s radio show to promote her upcoming Syfy movie, Sharknado 4, the radio host kicked things off by asking the actress about her appearance on the reality show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. Reid clearly did not want to talk about the WE tv reality show, which she appears in with ex-boyfriend Dean May, so she said it’s “not worth the time to talk about.”

“There’s confusing things about it. We are not talking about it,” Tara said.

After Jenny pressed the issue, Tara Reid shut her down and asked her to move on to questions about the Sharknado sequel that she’s currently starring in. Reid plays April in the Syfy TV movie franchise.

After she asked a question about the “fake sharks” on Sharknado, McCarthy then started talking about Reid’s past plastic surgery, which seemed to upset her guest. She also asked Tara if she is planning to go under the knife again anytime soon. Reid, who has been vocal about her cosmetic procedures in the past, said she hasn’t had any surgery for a while.

“I think I’ve made that clear about 100 times,” Tara snapped. “Maybe you only read the bad things, but I’ve made that really clear for so many years. Read what you want to read.”

Tara Reid then tried to end the interview by congratulating McCarthy on her Sirius show. But Jenny got another dig in before her guest could escape.

“Good luck to you, too, and I’m so excited about Sharknado and I hope you stay married,” McCarthy said to Reid. “I hope your knees get a little wobblier than they already are.”

Tara Reid fired back with her own dig at the wife of Donnie Wahlberg.

“I hope you stay married too,” Tara said. “I’m sure he’s a nice guy. I hope your t**s get even nicer, because they’re amazing. The same guy who did mine, right? I’ll always use your advice. You’re the best. Bye.”

Tara Reid was then taunted with this goodbye message from the Sirius host, “Love you, Tara. Good luck with Sharknado 18.”

After the awkward exchange, Jenny McCarthy posted a link to the interview and told fans to listen to the playback. She also joked that the only show she and Tara Reid may appear on together in the future will be the plastic surgery-themed reality show Botched.

While Jenny is laughing off the exchange, Tara Reid’s camp doesn’t think the interview was funny at all. In a statement to E! News, Tara’s team says the actress was bullied during the interview and that Tara felt “ambushed.”

“Tara is a positive person who is against women tearing each other down. She was bullied on Jenny’s [show] and felt ambushed when she came into the show with a positive spirit and in a happy mood. It was very unfortunate how Jenny shifted the conversation for her personal gain when the whole focus should be on Sharknado 4.”

Tara Reid did not promote her ill-fated radio interview on her social media pages. Instead, she posted that she had a great time on the Today Show with Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford.
