Westboro Baptist Church Tweets About Attack In Nice, France, Photoshops WBC Signs Into Crime Scene Photos

When something tragic happens in the United States, the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is usually on it right away and letting everyone know their thoughts on it. The majority of the time, those thoughts aren’t the same compassionate thoughts as most everyone else have. Now, they have turned their attention to the terrorist attack in Nice, France, that left 84 dead and hundreds more injured, and they are letting their presence be known.

As reported by CNN, 31-year-old Mohamed Lahouaiej Bohlel drove a refrigerated mack truck into a crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France. During his two-kilometer run, the 20-ton truck ended up killing 84 people (including 10 children) and injuring 202 others, many of whom are in critical condition.

Typically, the Westboro Baptist Church would already be on their way to the scene so they could let their message be known. They’d likely also prepare to protest the funerals of those who were killed, but that is just too far.

Still, they are making sure their message is known.

Authorities are still sorting out the crime scene in Nice, and it is expected that it’s going to take a long time. With 52 of the injured still in critical condition and 25 in comas as of Friday night, the death toll could still very well rise.

An American father and his young son were confirmed among those killed in the terrorist attack that happened on Thursday night. L.A. Times is reporting that Nicolas Leslie, a 20-year-old UC Berkeley student, is still missing.

The Westboro Baptist Church knows that this crime scene is very far away, but they’re not yet giving up on heading to France.

In the past month, the Westboro Baptist Church has really let their presence be felt in numerous locations around the United States. They headed down to Orlando to celebrate the massacre that took place in the Pulse nightclub. They certainly let their feelings be known about the five Dallas police officers killed by a sniper and they felt that it was an act of God.

Tonight in Turkey, there is a military coup attempt to overthrow the government, and it has caused chaos in the country, according to the BBC. The WBC is making sure to put their two cents out there about that situation as well.

Of course, that is when they’re not protesting outside of the Janet Jackson concert taking place.

Maybe the WBC will never actually make it over to Nice, France, but it would be surprising if someone doesn’t represent them at the crime scene or the funerals of those that were killed. Meanwhile, they will continue speaking out on social media and letting their signs be seen among the dead, thanks to Photoshop.

The Westboro Baptist Church may not have the funds or just may not take the time and effort to head to Nice, France, for a protest. Still, they are making themselves known and they’re going to let the world know what they think about the terrorist attack that killed so many people. Photoshopping their signs into the crime scene is one thing, but perhaps the distance will be what keeps them from protesting the funerals of the dead.
