Whitney Cummings Opens Up About Dating Drug Addicts And Gay Men

Whitney Cummings has opened up about her eating disorders, according to People. The stand-up comedian is planning to release her first memoir, entitled I’m Fine… And Other Lies in the fall of next year, but she wants to make even more “humiliating mistakes” in her life to make the read worth her fans’ time.

Whitney Cummings, who will release the memoir with G.P. Putnam’s Sons, told People magazine that there will be lots of “humiliating” stories in the memoir, including what it was like dating a gay man and being on the verge of being put in a Guatemalan prison.

So now, Whitney Cummings will be an open book, providing “knowledge that can save you a lot of time,” as noted by the comedian herself. Among the stories in I’m Fine… And Other Lies, Cummings also details how she almost lost all of her hair after not consuming enough fat, as well as how she had to put her family members in rehab.

“I always told myself I would wait to write a book until I had accumulated enough humiliating mistakes to actually make the read worth your time.”

Whitney Cummings is one of those stand-up comedians who love to make fun of themselves and get very personal. And her HBO special titled I’m Your Girlfriend, which was released earlier this year, was a clear evidence of that.

In 2015, Whitney Cummings joked about gaining weight in her interview with Today‘s hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford.

“I put on, like, 20 lbs. People think I got a face lift.”

But in the memoir, Whitney Cummings will reveal what it was like living with an eating disorder. Speaking to People magazine, the stand-up comedian admitted that she didn’t know she had an eating disorder despite the fact that she “almost exclusively” ate sugar-free Twizzlers and Diet Sunkist.

In the memoir, Whitney Cummings will also open up about her past romances. In fact, she gave a little sneak peek, saying that drug addicts were once her “drug.”

“My shadiness took many forms such as programming guys’ names in my phone as other things: ‘Grandma home’ was my go-to.”

It seems like Whitney Cummings has been expanding her horizons lately, as the stand-up comedian is also planning to make her directorial debut shortly after the memoir is released next year. The 33-year-old actress is currently working on a comedy series entitled The Female Brain about relationships.

Whitney Cummings admitted to People magazine that although she has been putting off writing the book for a while, she enjoys writing sentences that stretch beyond 140 characters.

But at the age of 33, Whitney Cummings feels like she has accumulated enough “embarrassments, disasters and wisdom” to write a book and compete with various pieces on the internet.

“And you’re welcome, readers, now you can just read this book instead of f***ing up like I did.”

Rumor has it that Whitney Cummings is currently dating Lenny Kravitz, according to Hollywood Life. The 52-year-old rockstar and the stand-up comedian have recently been spotted together and sources say that the two already have “great chemistry.”

A source close to Whitney Cummings told OK! Magazine that although Kravitz and the 33-year-old comedian haven’t been dating for that long, they already developed “great chemistry.”

“They’re having a lot of fun together.”

In fact, an eyewitness in California last week revealed that Whitney Cummings and Kravitz had a romantic date at Nobu in Malibu. And it appears that Kravitz was being “extremely attentive” to Cummings during the date.
