Miley Cyrus Celebrates Liam Hemsworth’s Australian Roots With Vegemite Tattoo

Miley Cyrus has a new tattoo, and it’s all for her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. The “Wrecking Ball” singer, who is Tennessee-native, tattooed a small jar of Vegemite on her left arm.

That tattoo, which represents a dark brown Australian food paste, was done especially for Hemsworth, who recently admitted he loves Vegemite. So now Miley Cyrus has tattooed Vegemite under her bright green avocado tattoo on her upper arm.

This is somewhat a trend for Australians to eat Vegemite and smashed avocados on toast, and Hemsworth is no exception. In his interview last month with Sunday Style, the Independence Day: Resurgence actor, who got engaged to Miley Cyrus in 2012, said he used to “live on” Vegemite.

“After-school Milo and Vegemite on toast. I lived on it.”

Last month, Hemsworth even showed the American public “how to Vegemite” properly during his appearance on Live with Kelly.

“You start off with some butter. You want the right consistency with it all. You want to get a little scraping of Vegemite… You don’t want to smother it on because it can be a little bit much.”

And then comes the best part, Miley Cyrus’s fiancé said you must add some “slices of tomato or avocado” to bring extra deliciousness and to feel like a true Aussie. The Vegemite brand is most likely enjoying this kind of publicity from the Hunger Games star.

But is Miley Cyrus ready to introduce other Australian stereotypes into her life and possibly even have new tattoos of kangaroos, a shrimp on the barbie, a can of Foster’s, or even Ned Kelly?

Just two months ago, Miley Cyrus got a matching tattoo along with Hemsworth’s sister-in-law, Elsa Pataky, after spending a vacation together in Byron Bay. Pataky is married to Chris Hemsworth and lives in a mansion in Byron Bay.

But Miley Cyrus and Liam have matching tattoos, too. Their matching tattoos, which they had done shortly after getting engaged in 2012, have two different texts.

Liam’s tattoo reads, “if he fails, at least… fails while daring greatly,” while Miley Cyrus’ tattoo serves as a continuation of the sentence, “so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam called it quits in 2013, nearly a year after they got engaged, but they gave their romance a second chance earlier this year and have been together ever since.

Blake Shelton has recently praised Miley Cyrus for her singing talents, according to ET Online. The country singer said in his interview with Chelsea Handler that he “likes” Cyrus, who will join The Voice Season 11 later this summer.

However, Shelton admitted that although he doesn’t know Miley Cyrus well, he knows her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. But what he does know is that Miley is “one of the most talented people.” But the problem with Cyrus is that her twerking and weird costumes may have a negative impact on her talent, Shelton thinks.

“I feel like her antics sometimes keep people from realizing what an incredible singer she is. I know that’s what she wants.”

And Shelton revealed that every time he hears Miley Cyrus sing, the only thought that runs through his head is “Oh my God!” Shelton also joked that whenever Cyrus behaves badly during filming for The Voice this season, he will use threats as a way to calm her down.

“I’ve known her dad for years, and so it’s like: ‘I’m gonna call your dad! I will tell your dad what an a**hole you’re being right now, so you better settle down, missy!'”
