Puff Daddy Ready To Retire, Hands The Reins To Son Christian ‘King’ Combs

Puff Daddy has proudly raised a true rapper, according to Entertainment Weekly. The 46-year-old rapper may be retiring from music, but he made sure he sends a good artist into the world of rap music.

Puff Daddy’s son, Christian Combs, can definitely be called the next heir of the Combs family legacy. Last week, Christian released two new tracks of his own under the stage name King Combs. The two tracks, “One For Me” and “Party,” show a very similar rapping style to his father.

These two songs are the first official releases by the 18-year-old rapper. It looks like Puff Daddy got serious about building his son’s future in April, when he signed Christian to his Bad Boy Records label.

Even though Puff Daddy has repeatedly said he plans to retire from music, he is now preparing for his upcoming “Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour,” which will spread across North America for 25 dates. The tour kicks off on August 25.

During the tour, Puff Daddy (aka Diddy, aka Sean Combs) is expected to reunite with fellow rappers and collaborators French Montana, Lil’ Kim, Faith Evans, and others. The rapper then plans to focus on acting and retire from the music industry once and for all.

Last Sunday, Puff Daddy delighted his fans with his presence at the Essence Festival, according to Billboard. It’s believed that the four-day event that took place in New Orleans was visited by over 450,000 attendees.

The night Puff Daddy performed was the highest anticipated night of the music festival. In fact, the 46-year-old rapper delighted the large crowd with his hits along with the Bad Boy Family. That night, Kendrick Lamar and Ciara also performed their greatest hits, and the crowd was certainly entertained.

Everybody thought Faith Evans would close the music festival with her song “All This Love,” but when they saw Puff Daddy joining the singer onstage, they couldn’t contain their excitement. Before starting their joint performance, Faith hugged the rapper and shared one hilarious incident from their friendship.

“He thought I was too pale, made me go to the tanning salon every other day.”

And judging how well ’90s-style rap was received at the Essence Festival, the “Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour” will surely be one of the biggest events of August for the fans of classic hip-hop and rap.

Puff Daddy has reportedly liked the upcoming Tupac biopic titled All Eyez on Me, according to Yahoo News. It appears that the legendary rapper got the opportunity to see the upcoming film last week, and he was “moved” by it.

As tweeted by designer Tracey Mills, who watched the Benny Boom-directed Tupac biopic last Friday, Puff Daddy was “moved by how well done this movie” was. According to the film’s official description, it will be centered around the career of Tupac Shakur, who was shot dead in 1996.

There is no telling if the upcoming film, which got Puffy Daddy so “moved” over it, will reveal the iconic rapper’s ties to the Black Panthers or the details of his infamous rivalry with the Notorious B.I.G.

However, Puff Daddy wasn’t the only one who had the exclusive chance to watch the upcoming Tupac biopic before its official release. Last month, rapper Game revealed in an Instagram video that he had watched the film, calling it “the real deal.”

“Tupac movie is the real deal, sh*t make that Biggie movie look like a cartoon…”

And rapper Kanye West was also among the lucky ones to watch the biopic, a teaser trailer for which was released last month.
