‘Big Brother 18’ Recap: Spoilers From July 14 Episode Include Fourth Eviction, New ‘BB18’ HOH Taking Power

This Big Brother 18 recap comes from the Thursday, July 14, episode of the show. Many Big Brother 18 spoilers had indicated that the house was going to flip and evict a different person during the “live” eviction. A report from CBS showed the perspective that Head of Household Bridgette Dunning had in the BB18 house, but it didn’t explain how she spent most of the week in the HOH room with Frank Eudy. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, this could lead to her short-term downfall in the game.

Heading into the July 14 episode at 9 p.m. PT/ET on CBS, Big Brother 18 spoilers from the live feeds indicated that Bridgette’s plans weren’t going to go as well as she had expected. Despite being the HOH and also winning the Week 3 Veto, Bridgette let things get out of her hands and into the control of Frank. Though she realized that Frank was running things early in the week, Bridgette thought she could keep control of the outcome. She also assured Bronte D’Acquisto that she would be safe at the eviction ceremony after Frank won the Roadkill competition and put her on the block.

By the end of this July 14 Big Brother 18 recap, which will get updated periodically during the “live” episode, the fourth eviction of summer 2016 will have taken place and the newest HOH will be crowned. The fourth evicted houseguest will be Tiffany Rousso, Bronte D’Acquisto, or Paul Abrahamian, as shown on fan site Joker’s Updates.

The July 14 Big Brother 18 episode began with the familiar recap of what had taken place following the Veto ceremony. That included Bronte D’Acquisto speaking about how safe she felt and how shocked she would be if the house evicted her this week. The taped footage then moved to a conversation between James Huling and Da’Vonne Rogers having a discussion about saving Tiffany Rousso from eviction. Suddenly it appeared that Bronte might not be as safe as she had assumed (#GameOn).

James and Da’Vonne talked with Nicole Franzel and Michelle Meyer, pushing the total to four houseguests ready to save Tiffany. Nicole and Da’Vonne then approached Zakiyah Everette, who also committed to the new plan, giving them enough votes to completely shake up the BB18 house. A hitch in the plan surfaced when Zakiyah talked to Paulie Calafiore about the plan. Paulie balked at the idea, sending everyone back to the drawing board and setting up Tiffany as the next Big Brother 18 eviction.

The July 14 episode of Big Brother 18 picked up after a commercial break by showing Frank Eudy working to ensure his own future in the house. That included separate discussions with Nicole Franzel and Michelle Meyer about backdooring someone in Week 4. Frank was showing an overconfidence in his plan working out in Week 3, where he hoped either Tiffany Rousso or Paul Abrahamian was going to get evicted next.

It became very clear that Frank was trying to make too many side alliances in the BB18 house. The houseguests Frank spoke with compared stories, exposing his plans and potential alliances, while creating more enemies in the process. It caused those people to re-visit the possibility of saving Tiffany and evicting Bronte instead. That’s when the plan really started taking hold. This is where some of the Big Brother 18 spoilers fans had seen on the live feeds started taking center stage. Queue another commercial break before the Week 3 eviction ceremony.

Following the speeches by the three nominees, host Julie Chen began having the BB18 houseguests vote on the eviction. In the first group, Frank Eudy voted for Tiffany Rousso, James Huling voted for Tiffany, and Natalie Negrotti also voted for Tiffany. CBS went to another commercial with the vote at 3-0-0.

In the second group of voters, Michelle Meyer started it off by voting for Bronte D’Acquisto. Then Nicole Franzel voted to evict Bronte, Zakiyah Everette voted to evict Bronte, and Corey Brooks also voted to evict Bronte. Paulie Calafiore tied it up at 4-4 by voting to evict Tiffany, leaving just Da’Vonne Rogers to make the deciding vote. Da’Vonne voted for Bronte, making Bronte the fourth evicted houseguest of Big Brother 18. Frank Eudy and Bridgette Dunning were shown with shocked expressions on their faces when Julie Chen made the announcement.

Once the interview between Bronte D’Acquisto and Julie Chen was complete, the BB18 houseguests went to the backyard to compete to become the next Head of Household. It was a memory wall competition, with the 11 competitors answering questions based on a slideshow they had seen in the house. James Huling, Corey Brooks, Paul Abrahamian, Natalie Negrotti, and Zakiyah Everette all missed the first question. The third question eliminated Tiffany Rousso, Da’Vonne Rogers, and Michelle Meyer.

Nicole Franzel, Frank Eudy, and Paulie Calafiore were the last three competitors to survive. On the first question between the trio, Paulie won and became the new HOH. His team is now safe, meaning Frank Eudy, Michelle Meyer, and Bridgette Dunning are all safe from eviction. This is going to lead to some very exciting Big Brother 18 spoilers on the live feeds, as the two main targets for eviction cannot be nominated. CBS viewers will find out who was nominated in the BB18 house during the Sunday, July 18, episode of the show.
