Mitt Romney has caught a lot of criticism for politicizing the death of a US ambassador in Libya. Today, during a speech in Virginia, Romney was forced to skip a moment of silence as he was heckled by a man in the crowd.

Romney put heavy blame on President Obama for the death of US ambassador Chris Stevens, saying:

“I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi … It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

During his speech in Virginia today Romney took a softer tone, saying:

 ”As we watch the world today. sometimes it seems that we’re at the mercy of events, instead of shaping events, and a strong America is essential to shape events.”

Romney was hoping to have a moment of silence for Chris Stevens but a man in the crowd continuously heckled the GOP candidate. According to Yahoo! News, the man screamed:

“Why are you politicizing Libya? Why are you politicizing Libya?”

The man was eventually escorted out of the area as the crowd of Romney supporters started chanting “USA!”

After the incident, Romney said:

“I would offer a moment of silence but one gentleman doesn’t want to be silent, so we’re going to keep on going.”
