Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Aren’t Getting Married? Source Claims He’s Having ‘Second Thoughts’

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were rumored to be planning a summer wedding just weeks ago, but now, it looks like the ceremony isn’t happening.

During a recent interview, Miley Cyrus’ father, Billy Ray Cyrus, spoke about her relationship with Hemsworth and confirmed they currently have no wedding date set.

“I love that [Miley Cyrus] and Liam are so happy right now,” the country singer told In Touch Weekly magazine on July 13. “Happy is hard to find. So if you’re in a good spot, woo! Bam! And [Miley Cyrus] knows that… Seeing her happy is the greatest thing ever.”

As for her plans to get married, Miley Cyrus’ father explained, via OK! Magazine, “There’s no wedding bells on the calendar… I’d tell you if there was!”

Last month, a source told Radar Online that Miley Cyrus was planning to tie the knot with Hemsworth this month in not one, but two ceremonies, one of which would take place in Los Angeles and another in Australia, where Hemsworth’s family resides.

“Billy Ray and Tish are paying for the entire wedding because they feel that it is their duty,” the insider told Radar. “Billy Ray gets along so well with Liam and Tish loves him too. They have already started calling him their son because they want to make him feel a part of the family.”

Now, however, Hemsworth is said to be having “second thoughts” about the upcoming nuptials due to his career struggles. According to a new report, Hemsworth’s film Independence Day has been met with bad reviews, which have led him to question their relationship and future plans.

“[Miley Cyrus]’s doing her best to try and bring him out of this slump and see the positive side, but Liam’s so miserable and bitter about his life right now,” a source told OK! Magazine on July 14. “He had so much pinned on this movie doing well, including a number of high-profile roles that were his if he proved himself at the box office.”

The source went on to reveal that Hemsworth has been taking out his struggles on his fiancee and throwing her own successful career in her face. As the source explained, Hemsworth is unable to work through his dark moments, and when he’s feeling down, he blames Miley Cyrus for overshadowing his every move.

“It’s getting like the old days when they would fight over the smallest things,” the source continued. “[Miley Cyrus]’s doing everything she can to calm him down, [but] everyone’s convinced he’s having second thoughts about the relationship.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth began dating several years ago after falling for one another on the set of 2010’s The Last Song. Then, in 2012, Miley Cyrus announced she and Hemsworth were engaged to be married. However, as time went on, rumors swirled in regard to when and where they would say their “I dos.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth eventually called off their engagement in late 2013. In the years that followed, Miley Cyrus was linked to Mike Will Made It while Hemsworth was linked to January Jones and Nina Dobrev.

By late 2015, Miley Cyrus and Hemsworth were back on. In addition to rekindling their romance, Cyrus sparked rumors of an engagement as she was spotted around Los Angeles with the diamond ring Hemsworth gifted her nearly four years ago.
