JoJo Fletcher Says There’s No ‘Front-Runner’ In Her ‘Bachelorette’ Final 4

JoJo Fletcher says there are no front-runners in her season of The Bachelorette, just a couple of “consistently strong” relationships. In a new interview with People, the Season 12 star of the ABC reality show says it’s exciting now that she has whittled down her crop of 26 men down to the final 4. JoJo Fletcher’s final four guys are Jordan Rodgers, Luke Pell, Robby Hayes and Chase McNary.

From the beginning, Rodgers, the younger brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, has been labeled the “front-runner” on JoJo Fletcher’s season of the show. But JoJo says she doesn’t like that term.

“I never wanted to rank the guys,” Fletcher told People. “It makes me sad that some guys think they might not be a front-runner.”

While JoJo doesn’t want to label any one guy as her favorite, she did admit that she has had more consistent relationships with two of her remaining suitors all along.

“It is true my relationships with Jordan and Luke were consistently strong. They made incredible first impressions, but they’re also really great guys.”

JoJo went on to explain that she is attracted to Luke Pell because he’s “very attractive,” and “there is so much depth to him too.” Fletcher gave Robby Hayes props for being the first guy in the bunch to tell her that he was in love with her. And she described Chase McNary as “an all-around great guy,” which makes him sound like he’s more in the friend zone than husband material.

As for Jordan Rodgers, he may have had an edge going into the competition for JoJo’s heart. Fletcher previously told Entertainment Tonight that she knew who he was before she met him on her season of The Bachelorette due to online casting spoilers.

“A week before this whole thing started I think his name got leaked, and it was kind of all over the Internet, so, you know, it’s like ‘Jordan Rodgers, brother of Aaron’ — so that’s what I knew going into it,” JoJo told ET.

Still, Fletcher claims that Jordan’s celebrity connections (his brother also dates actress Olivia Munn) didn’t influence anything on her end.

“Before I met him… I knew just that tidbit about him, but nothing else, and I don’t think it made a difference either way,” Fletcher said. “I don’t follow football closely, so it’s not like it made a huge difference, but I definitely knew that about him going into it.”

JoJo also made it clear that she never met or spoke to Rodgers—not even online–before her season started, but that once they did meet she had enough of a connection with him that she gave him her first impression rose. Frequently on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, the person who gets the first impression rose makes it far into the competition, and that is definitely the case on JoJo Fletcher’s season, too.

While JoJo Fletcher found love on reality TV once before (with Bachelor star Ben Higgins, who went so far to drop the “L” word on her before proposing to Lauren Bushnell instead), she is still surprised that she may have found real love again. Fletcher told People she “never expected to find such strong connections” with so many men, even as the star of The Bachelorette, and she said her feelings are the real deal.

“The feelings I have for the guys are so real. It’s just a leap of faith,” JoJo said of her experience.
