Lisa Vanderpump Will Return To ‘RHOBH’ For Season 7: The Real Reason She Almost Left After Season 6

She’s staying after all! Lisa Vanderpump recently confirmed that she would return for another season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“Yep, never thought I would return, but after many discussions. The pump is still in the game,” Vanderpump wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to all of you.”

Why did Vamperpump almost leave the show for good?

Reality Tea reports that Season 6 was particularly hard for Vanderpump.

“It was a tough season and the women were pretty vicious,” Vanderpump explained to Daily Mail.

Vanderpump’s feuds with the other women on the show, including Yolanda Hadid, was the main reason she contemplated leaving. Fortunately, Vanderpump had several reasons for remaining a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

For starters, Us Magazine is reporting that Vanderpump’s husband, Ken Todd, was the one who convinced her to return.

“Ken convinced her to do this season,” a source told the outlet. “She needed some arm pulling.”

It helped that Bravo offered Vanderpump seven figures to return full time, although money wasn’t the only thing that kept her around.

“Bravo has been incredibly supportive,” Vanderpump shared. “It’s afforded me a lot of opportunities and I embrace that.”

Vanderpump wants to remain on the show to promote her work for a number of different charitable organizations. This includes both animal rights and LGBT community funds.

Speaking of Vanderpump’s love for animals, Yahoo reports that she is getting ready to open up her own dog rescue center in Los Angeles.

Vanderpump’s new dog shelter is expected to be a main storyline on this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

In addition to the new dog center, Vanderpump and her husband are also founding members of The Vanderpump Dogs Foundation, which just opened up a new facility.

“Vanderpump Dog Foundation now owns and operates a fantastic #WestHollywood #rescue facility!” Vanderpump announced.

Clearly, Lisa Vanderpump is planning on using the show as a platform for social issues, which is one of the main reasons why she decided to return for another season.

Meanwhile, Vanderpump’s decision to stay follows the news that several cast members are leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

According to Reality TV World, both Kathryn Edwards and Hadid will no longer be a part of the show.

Although Edwards only appeared on one season of the reality series, she is happy with how things turned out.

“I feel great. I walk away from it all with great feelings. I have no regrets at all,” Edwards noted. “It was definitely an adventure for me. I really am kind of a private person. It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends.”

As far as Hadid is concerned, her divorce with David Foster and continuous battle with Lyme Disease are the main reasons behind her exit after Season 6.

“I am leaving what’s over without denying its past importance in my life. I believe that every exit is a new entry and with that in mind I say goodbye to my @Bravotv Family as I continue to focus on my recovery, my children and bring back the privacy within our Home,” Hadid shared.

It isn’t known if Hadid’s exit had anything to do with Vanderpump’s decision to stay.

Considering their constant fighting last season, Hadid’s exit is certainly a good thing for Vanderpump, who will need to re-build a few relationships next season.

Bravo has not released an official premiere date for Season 7, though filming for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to commence soon.
