Kristen Stewart Leaves Ex Robert Pattinson In Dust With ‘Cafe Society’ And ‘Equals’

Kristen Stewart may only be 26, but she is one of the up-and-coming actors in Hollywood. With two new movies coming out in the states, Cafe Society, directed by Woody Allen, and Equals, starring the adorable Nicholas Hoult, her career is taking off! Looks like she is leaving her ex-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, in the dust by kicking into high gear!

The 26-year-old actress was undoubtedly the bell of the ball at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, appearing as the star in two movies that premiered there. Her sharp and fresh styles on the red carpet drew attention and her take on a much lighter character in Cafe Society introduced her as the new ingenue of Hollywood.

She did have some concerns going into the movie, though.

“I had to audition for the part because I tend to have a more weighted energy,” Cafe Society actress said according to Daily Mail. “And the character has this light, buoyant energy. Woody said, “As long as you don’t walk like a sailor you will be fine.” So I auditioned for it and apparently did OK.”

Many film critics and reports did comment on the light, summery love that she portrayed with Jesse Eisenberg.

“Strolling hand-in-hand along the sun-drenched shoreline, the two Hollywood stars look the picture of a young love as the sun shines down on their tender and sweet moment,” reports Daily Mail.

Robert Pattinson, on the other hand, has not been in the media for a while. He is not busy releasing or shooting a movie, nor involved in any drama in Hollywood. Right now, he is probably best known as Kristen Stewart’s ex that is dating FKA twigs, the singer.

FKA twigs seems happy enough to be hanging out with her friends, according to her Instagram.

While Robert Pattinson was in the running for the new James Bond role, he has fallen away quite quickly. And it looks like his ex-girlfriend might be someone that may be more eligible now!

During an interview in which Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart were promoting Equals, the co-stars toyed with the idea of the 26-year-old actress playing the title role.

“We’ll walk into the screen test and I’ll see you dressed in a tuxedo,” Nicholas speculated to E! Online. “I’ll be like, ‘Kristen, what are you doing here?’ I’ll just turn around and walk straight back out.”

Kristen took it one step further and suggested how her female Bond will be revealed.

“You start off as the Bond girl and then you think it’s just the girlfriend and then you’re like, ‘She’s actually [Bond],'” she said. “In the trailer, it’s him and then [a] bait and switch.”

Stewart specializes in playing brooding, dark characters, and James Bond might be the best fit for her. Sorry, Robert Pattinson.

As for her love life, Kristen is currently dating her personal assistant, Alicia Cargile. But it is very possible that she is not going to be as emotionally invested and committed to her as she was towards Robert when she was younger.

In an interview with ELLE, Cafe Society actress revealed that she had an unhealthy approach to dealing with romantic relationships at the beginning of her film career.

“Everyone was graduating high school and I’d stopped going, so I kind of fell out of touch with the group,” she said. “I was just with my boyfriend all the time. But then I made a really conscious effort of gathering them and being like, ‘I need you.’ Now they are really awesome, they’re all really protective.”

As her career is kicking into high gear, it’s good to hear that the American actress has a better handle on dividing her time between work, friends, and love!
