Tom Brady Shrugs Off Possible Broken Nose

Tom Brady took quite the clattering in the New England Patriots’ season-opener against the Tennessee Titans, leaving him with a possible broken nose. But is the 2012 Pro Bowl quarerback fusse? Nope!

Speaking to a Boston Globe reporter after the 34-13 Patriots victory was wrapped up, Brady seemed positively happy about his rearranged schnozz. When asked if his nose was broken, Brady replied:

“I don’t know. I have no idea what a broken nose feels like. It’ll be fine. I need some […] scars anyway. I never mind a little blood.”

Brady was wearing a bandage across his nose when the Patriots/Titans clash began, and he picked up a second in the second quarter after getting sacked by Titans defensive end Kamerion Wimbley. The damage seems to have been done by Wimbley’s left knee colliding with Brady’s facemask during the sacking.

Either way, it didn’t affect Brady’s performance, as he went on to complete 23 of 31 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns.

“It doesn’t look pretty, but it probably looks a lot worse than it feels,” Brady added later during an interview on WEEI radio.

But what does Mrs. Tom Brady, a.k.a supermodel Gisele Bundchen, make of her husband’s unintended nose job? Well, apparently, she digs it! Speaking in Wednesday’s media session, Brady told reporters:

“Yeah, it’s OK. My wife likes it, so I’m good.”

Did you catch the Patriots’ strong season-opening victory, and what did you make of the Wimbley/Brady collision?
