Paris Jackson, 18, Gets Over 20 Tattoos In Four Months [Photos]

Ever since Paris Jackson has turned 18, she has been looking different in recent months. The daughter of Michael Jackson has chopped off her locks and dyed it platinum blonde. Now, she’s been altering her looks with a new grunge style and plenty of new tattoos to go along with it.

Paris Jackson has gotten over 20 tattoos since her 18th birthday in April. Last month marked seven years since her father passed away. Paris paid tribute to her dad with a new tattoo that she shared with her Instagram followers. She had “Bad” inked in red on her right hand, which is the single from Michael’s seventh studio album of the same name.

She has been getting her tattoos from Timeless Tattoo in Hollywood, California, according to ET Online. Paris then took to Instagram to share a photo of her and her brother, Prince Jackson, and their tattoo artist, Justin Lewis.

Prince, 19, also got another tattoo. This time around, he got a yellow and green symbol on his arm that’s the symbol for Gracie Academy in Beverly Hills, which is the name of the karate school he attends.

Paris didn’t just get a tattoo to pay tribute to her late father. She also got a tattoo in honor of her other music icons, David Bowie, Prince, and Van Halen. Notably, this isn’t the first time that Paris has been inked by the artist. Back in April, she got the words “Queen of my heart” in her dad’s handwriting tattooed on her left wrist.

A few days later, Prince followed in Paris’ footsteps by getting a tattoo of Anubis, an Egyptian god, on his right shoulder blade.

Then, in June, Paris took to Instagram to share her growing collection of tattoos. She even explained the meaning behind each one. Paris told her 617,000 Instagram followers that her tattoos help her move on from her “dark past” and bring her comfort in her life.

“The craftsmanship of tattoos will always be a controversy. Some people like them, some people absolutely hate them. I appreciate art, I always have. Especially when that art means something to me,” Paris wrote. “Today I can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, i don’t see a dark past anymore. [SIC]”

Paris Jackson has got a large number of tattoos in such a short time. The last tattoo she got in honor of her father was artwork from the King of Pop’s 1991 Dangerous album back in May. J-14 magazine’s writers are even hoping that Paris will not become addicted to getting tattooed.

“We can see why Paris gets tattoo’s [SIC] to pay tribute to her father. We just hope that she doesn’t regret so many tattoos in the long run.”

While some have wondered if tattoo addiction is real, a recent report via Health Aim has studied the link between tattoo and drug addiction. According to the news outlet, just because a person has several tattoos does not mean that he or she is a drug addict.

Knowing Paris’ past suicide attempts, alcoholism, and history with depression, fans have grown concerned over the teen’s Instagram posts and rebellious behavior. The Hollywood Gossip has even reported that fans criticized Paris for glamorizing smoking in one of her Instagram posts. But she argued that smoking is much better than the things she used to do.

“Smoking isn’t cool. I get it. Sure as hell beats everything else in my past though. This is the least bad thing I could be doing right now. Especially compared to over half the population of 17-year-old girls in this country.”

According to the celebrity gossip blog, the post has since been removed. Back in January, alleged sources told Radar Online that Paris’ friends and family were concerned about her acting out after her split from her high school boyfriend, Chester Castellaw. Since then, Paris has a new look and a new man, Michael Snoddy, who friends and family fear has feared is a racist.
