Katie Holmes Dumps Jamie Foxx, Claims Actor Suffered From Commitment Phobia: How Did Suri Cruise React To Split?

Katie Holmes has reportedly dumped Jamie Foxx because the actor was refusing to be committed to their three-year romance, it has been alleged.

The couple’s relationship went public when Foxx’s good friend, Claudia Jordan, accidentally revealed how happy Jamie has been since getting together with the mother of one, adding that the duo made an awesome couple.

Weeks later, however, Life & Style alleges that there’s been trouble in paradise, Bossip quotes the magazine saying. According to the outlet, Katie has struggled to come to terms with the fact that Jamie just doesn’t want to make their relationship official.

They’ve been dating since 2013, and still, Katie rarely got the impression that Jamie was paying her any attention. A source revealed that the duo had been discussing plans to get married, but Katie Holmes reportedly knew that their relationship would never go that far since Jamie Foxx is more committed to his acting career than his romance with the actress.

“At one point, Katie thought he’d be her husband. They talked about getting married,” the insider revealed. “But they got wrapped up in their careers and she realized he really wasn’t a settle-down kind of guy. In the end, the split was mutual.”

It is unclear when Katie Holmes decided to pull the plug on the relationship, but according to a source, she has already moved on with her life. While she definitely saw herself settling down with Jamie in the near future, Katie realized that the romance had stalled, and Jamie clearly wasn’t pushing for the next step.

He had been a great father figure to Suri Cruise, especially during the time reports claimed that Tom Cruise allegedly banned his daughter from seeing him under Scientology’s demands. Again, those reports were alleged, along with the claims that the Hollywood actor had neglected his only biological child.

But during these times, Suri really enjoyed Jamie’s company. He was that male figure she needed in her life at the time, and while Katie Holmes had hoped that her romance with Foxx would eventually blossom into marriage and children, Jamie supposedly just wasn’t ready.

“She didn’t think he could really commit… They just weren’t making time for each other. Katie was heartbroken at first when she realized the romance was over. But now she’s moving on.”

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes both remained quiet following Claudia’s comments regarding the couple’s relationship. Considering the fact that Jordan only made her remarks on Jamie’s romance last month, it would mean that Katie must’ve decided to dump her now ex-boyfriend in the last couple of weeks.

Two years ago, photos of Jamie Foxx and Katie holding hands surfaced on the internet, and when asked whether the duo was in a relationship, they were both in denial, telling reporters that they just happened to be very good friends.

Judging from what a source has told Life & Style, it seems as if Holmes wanted to go public with the relationship, but Jamie was hesitant. Presumably, because the Hollywood star was once known to have been good pals with Tom, whose ex-wife was now his girlfriend.
