Teresa Giudice Cried While Watching ‘RHONJ’: ‘It Means A Lot’

Teresa Giudice came home from prison on the very first episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and it was an emotional time for her. Teresa was super excited to return home to her family and her daughters barely slept the night before she came home. She was released at 4 a.m. in the morning, and she arrived home around 6 a.m. And it sounds like it was very emotional to watch, even though she had lived through it all. Teresa was surprised and excited to come home to her daughters, and fans of the show saw it all play out last night.

According to a new Bravo report, Teresa Giudice opened up about her experiences of being released back in December and she is very thankful that her Real Housewives of New Jersey fans have stayed with her. And it sounds like her fans are thrilled to be along for the ride, as she’s returning home to her family.

“I can’t thank my Bravo family and my fans enough for sticking with me and supporting me through everything I’ve gone through in the past year. It means a lot,” Teresa Giudice reveals on her Bravo blog, revealing that the past year has been troubling for her.

Of course, Giudice was in jail at the Danbury Correctional Facility all last year. She turned herself in on January 5, 2015, and she was released against just before Christmas, as was shown on The Real Housewives of New York. Her husband, Joe Giudice, turned himself in this spring, and he’s expected to serve at least three years. These days, Joe is staying in prison with fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida, but Giudice is trying to stay out of trouble, as he could be facing a deportation once he’s released. But Teresa watched last night’s episode and admits that it was tough for her.

“Watching this episode wasn’t easy. It made me cry. Seeing Joe and my daughters waiting for me while I drove home with Jim brought back a lot of tough memories. It was surreal to watch. I had waited for that moment for 11 and a half months and felt like it was a dream. I still do,” Teresa Giudice explains on her blog for Bravo, revealing that she cried quite a bit.

“I have to admit I broke down when I watched Joe and the girls hug and kiss me when I walked through the door. It was such an emotional moment. One I will never forget. I’m just so happy to be back home with my babies, where I belong,” Giudice reveals on her blog for The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“It also made me emotional to see how excited Joey and Melissa were for me to come home. Things with them are better than ever, I have to say, which makes me so happy. I feel like things are back to the way they were with them, thank God,” Teresa Giudice reveals, sharing that she’s very thankful for her brother and sister-in-law, as they invited her over for Christmas with her daughters.

According to People magazine, Teresa Giudice’s daughters had prepared their home for her return. On the show, they had drawn pictures, written messages, and created massive posters so she could feel welcome once she returned home. And Teresa was clearly very thankful for her daughters, who made an effort to make her feel welcomed.
