Star Wars Exclusives From Comic-Con Includes Actions Figures And Socks, Lego Game Same As Others

As the Star Wars franchise continues to earn billions of dollars worldwide, Comic-Con in San Diego offers exclusive collectibles for fans while critics weigh in on the latest Lego Star Wars game. Just as the movie, The Force Awakens, promised new additions and old favorites, the game hearkens back to the original Star Wars: A New Hope.

The Nerdist released a list of the exclusives to be shown at Comic-Con in San Diego, California. There will be many exclusive collectibles for fans to purchase, and many of them will also be limited editions. The original Star Wars trilogy offers socks with all of the characters, including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader. All the designs are limited to 100 each and will cost about $20 per pair.

Action figures are one of the important elements of Comic-Con, and it includes premium editions of C-3PO and Captain Phasma of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The 20-inch action figures will cost around $59.99 each. Even Hallmark is getting in on the action with its Boba Fett Christmas ornament. It includes original artwork, and although no price has been given yet, fans will be able to purchase it at the event.

Other items available include Rey’s backpack from The Force Awakens. It’s a limited edition of 200 at a price of $65.

The Express UK reported that Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is very similar to the original game, A New Hope, just as The Force Awakens is basically a remake of the original film. For those who enjoyed the original Star Wars, the game will feel comfortable and fun to play. It also promises plenty of laughs for Star Wars fans as they get to blast through Storm Troopers, wield a lightsaber, and build platforms. It offers co-op multiplayer, and there are few penalties for failure to complete a level.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Star Wars: Battlefront II teased a single player mode, something Star Wars fans have been asking for. The original Battlefront brought back many of the original characters, including Darth Vader and Princess Leia, and it gives players the opportunity to pit characters against one another. EA, the company that released the Battlefront games, promises a new game every year.

Game Spot reported that Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens took the top spot on the UK charts for games. It held the top spot for the second week in a row as a Wii U version made its debut. Blizzard’s team shooter, Overwatch, moved into the second spot while Doom and FIFA 16 placed three and four. The figures for sales didn’t include digital sales for the games.

The BBC reported that Star Wars and James Bond had boosted profits for movie studio Pinewoods Group. Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the latest James Bond movie, Spectre, used the studio to shoot the films. The studio’s operating profits more than doubled in the first quarter of the year, which ended on March 31, and revenues were up 10.9 percent. The studio has attributed this change to Great Britain leaving the EU while the British pound dropped in value. For their international customers, it lowered the cost of making movies, an advantage for the studio since most of its customers are based in the US.
