Selena Gomez L.A. Concert Becomes A Celebrity Magnet

Selena Gomez delivered her best performance thus far of her ongoing Revival World Tour in Los Angeles on Friday. Celebrities flocked to see her concert and it even became a mini reunion of a few High School Musical cast members, according to E! News. Among the celebrities gracing the show were Toby Maguire, Halle Berry, Jason Derulo, and Brooklyn Beckham.

High School Musical luminaries Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale also turned up with their relatives and loved ones in tow, but Zac Efron was nowhere in sight.

Selena Gomez’ Revival concert still featured the same series repertoire, which was a melange of the singer’s old and new songs. This time around, the sources had nothing critical to say about the repertoire. It seems that E! News was hooked on Selena’s flowing hair as she performed and her costume changes, which the source found amazing.

Teen Vogue lent a bird’s-eye view as to just what is involved with applying makeup on Selena Gomez to prep her for her show. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo gave the source a glimpse of just how natural looking Gomez is. But of course, for concert purposes, there’s still a need to dramatize her facial features and that’s where artificial aesthetics comes in.

Daily Mail is equally smitten with the Selena Gomez Revival wardrobe that it just can’t stop writing about it.

“Body Heat! Selena Gomez sizzles in revealing leotard and sparkling body stocking.”

Since the Revival Tour kicked off on May 6, Selena has had two basic costume changes. However, the concept, as well as the layering, remain the same for both costumes, as there is only one designer. MONSE specializes in boyish designs that are mixed to the feminine palette. This results in an eclectic final product that is very similar to the jumpsuits worn by the legendary actress Audrey Hepburn.

Costumes one and two both consist of a leotard, a body stocking, and an outer body wrap. The only difference is the color.

The first one is cream and black, while the other one is predominantly black. Do you know that the body stocking has 60,000 Swarovski crystals? This is why Selena Gomez seems to shimmer in the dark, although her skin complexion does have a natural glow similar to Marilyn Monroe or Ingrid Bergman.

Selena Gomez knows how to listen to her audience, as well as her critics. In the L.A. performance, the star seemed more emphatic with her continuity spiel regarding what Revival was all about. To prove, Daily Mail quickly captured the essence of the show, which was basically the many dramatic changes that the performer has gone through all these years.

The source also wrote that just as Selena had explained, Revival is her personal work from the ground up. Daily Mail also concluded that Selena Gomez knows the impact of a good outfit.

Gomez still has a long way to go with her concert series. In fact, it takes her around the world, with the last leg of the concert slated in Guadalajara, Mexico, on December 18. And based on her enthusiasm for the show thus far, nothing has waned. In fact, her concert energy seems to have doubled based on the L.A. performance, or is this just the effect of the “home ice” advantage?

Of course, when it comes to show business, Selena is only as good as her last concert. Based on the pronouncements of E! News, Teen Vogue, and Daily Mail, Selena Gomez is a big winner when it comes to fashion, performance, and concept elaboration.

A dramatic part of the Friday performance was Selena Gomez acknowledging the painful realities outside of the concert arena. Selena was referring to the Orlando shooting tragedy, and the more recent shooting in Louisiana, Falcon Heights, and Dallas. With this sincere acknowledgment, the pop princess showed that she was very much in tune with the times. In fact, a part of every Revival ticket sold goes to Selena Gomez’ favorite charity, the Alliance for Lupus Research.
