Donald Trump Used $120,000 Of Charity Money To Go On A Date With Salma Hayek In 2008

Donald Trump has received a lot of praise recently for completely blowing the GOP fundraising expectations out of the water for the month of June. As he continues his campaign to become the next President of the United States, though, more and more dirt just keeps rolling out about him. Now, it has been revealed that back in 2008, Trump actually used $120,000 of his own charity’s money to go on a date with Salma Hayek.

Some agree with Chris Rock’s assessment that Trump was actually bidding and paying $120,000 to have lunch with “Salma Hayek and her breasts.”

According to Buzzfeed News, the 2008 gala was hosted by Gucci and it was to benefit Madonna’s charity. It was then that Trump decided to make a bid of $120,000 for a lunch date at the Chataeu Latour vineyard with Salma Hayek and her husband François-Henri Pinault, whose family owns said vineyard.

Mind you, Trump had donated just $30,000 of his own money to The Trump Foundation in 2008.

That being said, it is now obvious that the majority of the money from the winning bid did not come from him. He donated $30,000 of his own money to the foundation in 2008 and the same amount in 2007, so, that means he only paid for half of that lunch date with Salma Hayek over a two-year period.

The largest donor to The Trump Foundation in 2008 was the Willard T.C. Johnson Foundation which donated $250,000.

Here is one of the true kickers as reported by Gawker — Trump didn’t even end up going on the lunch date he won for $120,000.

An aide of Trump’s said she didn’t know what ended up happening to the auction prize, but it was confirmed that Trump did not go on the date. It’s not even known if it was given to someone else or if it was just left to fade away.

Experts stated that if Trump had given the trip away to a friend of family member, he still would have had to report the transaction. No financial forms show that a transaction of this type took place so it isn’t known what happened to the trip.

This wouldn’t be the first report of Donald Trump using his charitable foundation’s money for self-serving purposes. The Washington Post stated that back in 2012, Trump used $12,000 of The Trump Foundation’s money to buy a Tim Tebow-signed football helmet for himself.

The report just recently came out, but the charity fundraiser in Palm Beach happened back in 2012 when Tebow was still with the Denver Broncos. Many originally praised Trump for giving $12,000 to the Susan G. Komen organization, who put together the auction and event, but many didn’t realize that Trump didn’t use his own money to win the helmet.

No, that $12,000 came from The Trump Foundation and it was confirmed that Trump himself sent no money to pay for the Tim Tebow-signed helmet.

The reveal of the $120,000 lunch date with Salma Hayek paid for with charitable funds is the second such situation revealed this month, and Trump has yet to comment about either one.

Donald Trump has received a lot of flack during his campaign to become the next president, but he’s managed to let it go or talk out of it. That is likely exactly what he plans on doing with this report of him using $120,000 of his own charity’s money to go on a date with Salma Hayek in 2008. He may not even acknowledge the reports, but it’s still going to turn the heads of some prospective voters when it comes time to head to the polls.
