‘Alaskan Bush People’ News: Ami Brown’s Mom Speaks Out About Missing Them During Visit To Alaska

Recently it came out that Ami Brown of Alaskan Bush People totally missed a visit from her estranged family. Ami’s mom went up to Alaska to visit her, but Ami and the family were in Hawaii during that time and they never even got to see each other. Now Ami Brown’s mom Earlene Branson is sharing her side of the story, and she isn’t very happy that her big 83rd birthday didn’t turn out the way she had planned. All that she had hoped for was to see Ami and, hopefully, work things out with her after all these years. Radar Online got the chance to speak to her and find out exactly what Ami’s mom had to say. She went clear from Texas to Alaska in hopes of reuniting with Ami and her family.

On July 7, Ami’s mom went back home after not getting the chance to see them. She revealed that they were not home and didn’t open the door. Earlene spoke out saying, “I said, ‘I’m not here to cause any trouble. I just want to see my daughter!'” That sadly didn’t work out for her. It could have been bad timing or it could have been on purpose that they missed each other.

The Brown family may have gone to Hawaii to avoid Ami’s mom, but it’s not like they were in Alaska and just not answering the door. They did reach out to the Browns several times before making the trip. Ami’s mom hasn’t seen her in 36 years, and she survived a stroke. One thing she wanted to do before she dies is to get the chance to see her daughter Ami at least one more time, but that didn’t work out at all. Since the Browns were not in Alaska, it will be shocking if any of this makes it on their television show.

Earlene did share that everyone in Alaska was really nice to her and inviting. Ami’s brother Les also spoke out saying, “It opened a wedge and showed we do still care about her. We still love Ami.” He went on to say that he has sent Ami Brown a birthday card every year regardless of her rejection. They are both blaming Billy Brown on keeping her away from her family for all this time and are also denying any claims that Ami grew up in an abusive household, even though that is what she shared on the show.

The Alaskan Bush People page on Facebook recently shared a video all about Ami Brown’s past. It does share a bit about Ami’s past, which could partially explain why she doesn’t want to meet with her mom again. Ami not being in Alaska when her mom was coming makes it very clear that she didn’t want to see her at all.

At this point, it would be totally shocking if Ami Brown and her mom ever work things out. Her mom is now 83 years old and probably won’t be able to make the trip back to Alaska again. Ami doesn’t want to meet up with her, so don’t expect her to be heading down to Texas to get the chance to see her.

Are you shocked to hear that Ami Brown wasn’t in Alaska when mom showed up to see her? Do you think that they went to Hawaii on purpose to avoid them? Sound off in the comments section below on your thoughts, and don’t miss new episodes of Alaskan Bush People on Friday nights on Discovery. This all just went down, so if it does end up on the show it won’t be right away.
