Andy Murray Looks To Win Wimbledon For Wife Kim Sears And Baby Daughter

Andy Murray is looking to make history again by taking on Milos Raonic at this year’s Wimbledon final. If the Scottish player wins this match, it will be his second Wimbledon title. As a new father, he will be playing with the support of his wife Kim Sears and his baby daughter.

The ever supportive Kim Sears has been frequenting the courts at Wimbledon this year to cheer for her baby daddy. Having given birth to their baby daughter just four months ago, Kim brought Sophia to the club as well.

“Sears, 28, arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club pushing four month-old Sophia in a push chair,” reports the Evening Standard. “The mother-of-one looked stunning in a pink and red patterned dress which she teamed with nude wedges and accessorised with a white handbag.”

But when Andy’s wife took her seat at Center Court, she was without the baby to comply with the no-babies rule on Wimbledon courts.

Kim Sears and their baby daughter have been on an endless journey, following Andy Murray all around the world as he prepped for Wimbledon 2016. When Sophia was two-months-old, Kim took her to Miami, where her husband was playing in the Miami Open.

Kim Sears made her first high profile appearance since the birth of her daughter Sophia at the Miami Open on Monday,” reports Hello Magazine. “The 28-year-old took some time away from her baby daughter to cheer on Andy Murray in the third round of the tournament at Miami’s Crandon Park.”

Baby Sophia arrived just after Australian Open 2016, but for a while, people were wondering what the tennis player would do if the baby was due in the middle of the tournament.

Being the great father he is, Andy said that he would give up the tournament for his baby girl.

“I’m going to fly home I think,” he said, according to Yahoo Sport. “We spoke about it and chatted and obviously it’d be disappointing if I was to get in that position and not be able to play the final. But I’d be way more disappointed winning the Australian Open and not being at the birth of the child.”

But even with the support of his family in Miami, the 29-year-old tennis player did not perform very well, possibly because of the pressures of being a new father.

“He looked tired and emotionally drained” former British number one Annabel Croft said to BBC Sports. “I know he had his family over in Miami. Having had three children myself, you know that if there’s a baby in the house… your sleep is going to be a little bit disrupted. He’s probably a little bit more drained in every area and suddenly there’s a lot more to think of off the court.”

But at this year’s Wimbledon, Andy has been performing at his highest level, showing the world that he is still the top tennis player that the tour has to offer.

He beat Tomas Berdych to reach the final, but the road to the championship game was not peaceful and smooth. Andy and Tomas have a history that goes way back, all the way back to last year’s Australian Open during which Kim Sears openly cursed at the German.

“For as long as they play the game, Andy Murray and Tomas Berdych will always have the semi-final of the 2015 Australian Open,” reports the Guardian. “It had just about everything a soap opera needs: an emotionally wounded hero and his angry, swearing girlfriend, a villain and his accomplice and, when it was done, the right result.”

This time around, the Scottish player was able to defeat Tomas fair and square in just three sets, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. This was an improvement from his quarterfinal match against Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, when the proceedings lasted for five sets, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 4-6, 6-1.

Do you think Kim Sears is done with swearing at Andy’s opponents? Do you think something dramatic will happen at this year’s Wimbledon finals?
