‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Spoilers: Major Plans In The Works For Four Characters

Anyone and everyone who has watched The Walking Dead knows that something really big is coming in the Season 7 premiere this fall. It’s obvious that someone is going to die, and it is going to be at the hands of Negan and his trust barbed-wire baseball bat named Lucille, but no one knows who it is yet. While one person’s fate is already sealed, there are major plans in place for four other characters on the show.

Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the upcoming season and comic book of The Walking Dead. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.

Someone is going to die in the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead when it returns to AMC this October, but that is a story for another time. According to the Hollywood Reporter, four others are going to be on the show for quite some time as they were all locked up to become series regulars from this point forward.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Austin Amelio, Xander Berkeley, and Tom Payne are now all going to appear regularly on The Walking Dead, and it’s not a very surprising move.

All will have major roles in Season 7, and that was pretty much obvious for Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the evil villain Negan. His TV series debut came in the finale of last season, when he walked the line of survivors and made his choice of who should die as the screen faded to black on the cliffhanger.

Tom Payne plays the role of Jesus and his addition as a series regular is also not very shocking as he’s a major character in the comic book. Currently, he is on the side of Rick Grimes and the other survivors as they try to get through the world of Walkers and Negan.

Xander Berkeley plays the role of Gregory who is the leader of the Hilltop Colony and they are expected to have a much bigger presence in Season 7. Amelio is right alongside Negan as his badly burned henchman Dwight.

Fans of the series are not going to be overly surprised by that move either as Dwight and fan-favorite Daryl Dixon are not the best of friends. It’s expected that they will have a lot more interaction and issues in Season 7.

Well, that’s if Daryl (Norman Reedus) survives Negan’s wrath in the season premiere.

As those four actors have been promoted to series regulars, it marks an all-time high for The Walking Dead with 20. Gizmodo does not know exactly what is coming for Negan, Dwight, Jesus, and Gregory, but it is an indication that “all four actors will play a major role in the next season.”

Obviously, it’s expected that the number of series regulars will decrease by one following the season premiere and the continuation of the scene from the season finale. Of course, that’s before the introduction of Ezekiel and the Kingdom.

Things are quickly turning from survival in a world of the living dead to attempting to make it out alive in a turf war.

It was kind of expected that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be hanging around as Negan on The Walking Dead for quite some time. He’s still a major character in the comic book, and he’s a necessary evil in the world of zombies and survivors. Jesus, Dwight, and Gregory are also going to be around for at least the near future and Season 7, and big things are in the works. As for who is going to meet a violent fate? That is still not known and likely won’t be until October.
