‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For July 8, MIDA And Armamentarium
Destiny players on the PlayStation and Xbox get a chance at some rarely sold Exotic goods this weekend. Xûr is back in the Tower for Friday, July 8, and he brings MIDA Multi-Tool, The Armamentarium, Bones of Eao, and Purifier Robes.
This weekend, Xûr can be found across from the Speaker in the Tower North. Simply head to the left when you first spawn in the Tower, and you’ll find him standing in front of a large, round door across from the speaker’s entrance. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.
Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, July 10. He will be gone as soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.
MIDA Multi-Tool
The MIDA Multi-Tool is one of the best Scout Rifles in Destiny. The namesake perk grants extra movement speed plus a hair trigger. This weapon has an excellent rate of fire and impact that becomes even deadlier when combined with the “Lightweight” perk that gives +2 Agility and the “Third Eye” perk to keep radar active when aiming down the sights.
The Armamentarium
The Armamentarium is the Titans go-to Exotic chest armor for when they want to throw more grenades. The “And Another Thing” perk gives all three sub-classes an additional grenade charge. The benefit in both PVE and PVP activities is immediately obvious. Meanwhile, the optional perks come with a choice between extra Special and Heavy Weapon by default with the others centered around Arc elemental armor or recovery.
The 98 Discipline is excellent and double Lightning Grenades can be killer in PVP. The only reason to use the Glass Needles on this armor is change the elemental armor to your favorite sub-class or roll a different stat bonus to fit your character.
Bones of Eao
These are the Exotic Boots for Hunters who like a little extra spring in their jump. The Bones of Eao intrinsic “Not Bound By Law” perk upgrades double jump with an additional jump. This instantly makes the ship jumping puzzle in the King’s Fall Raid easier, along with giving Hunters a mobility advantage over other Guardians in PVP activities.
The 58 Intellect/56 Discipline stat roll has been better in the past for Bones sold from Xur. The choice between bonus Shotgun or Rocket Launcher ammo is solid depending on your play style. Re-roll if you need different bonus ammo perks or a different set of stats.
Purifier Robes
Purifier Robes are still a coveted Warlock piece for the Sunsinger sub-class. The “Burn Brighter” intrinsic perk will cause the Sunsinger to burn brighter when activating Radiance from death. This causes nearby enemies to be blinded temporarily. This is very useful in PVE when surrounded by enemies, but its effect is not as great in PVP.
The exotic Destiny chest armor comes with optional perks to carry extra Special Weapon or Heavy Weapon plus a choice between extra defense against Void burn or extra armor when using a Solar-based subclass.
The 61 Intellect and 62 Strength stat rolls are excellent for the Purifier Robes, as it puts plenty of points toward two of a Sunsinger Warlock’s stats. Not much need to re-roll here.
