Kathryn Edwards Discusses ‘RHOBH’ Exit, Admits She’s Excited To Watch Season 7

Kathryn Edwards has finally addressed her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Weeks after news broke of the reality star possibly leaving the show after just one season, Kathryn Edwards spoke out about moving on from the show, her time with the series, and how her husband, Donnie Edwards, feels about having his wife back full-time.

“I feel great,” Kathryn Edwards revealed to People Magazine on July 7. “I walk away from it all with great feelings. I have no regrets at all.”

“It was definitely an adventure for me. I really am kind of a private person,” Kathryn Edwards continued. “It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends. And I really didn’t want to miss another year. It’s nice to be able to live life.”

After both Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards were removed from their full-time roles on the Bravo reality series after Season 5, Kathryn Edwards and Erika Girardi, also known as Erika Jayne, were brought in as replacements, but while Girardi is expected to return, fans have seen the last of Edwards.

“I’m really just an average Midwest people person kind of girl so I’ve never really felt like I was unapproachable, and I’m glad that it’s that way,” she explained of her attention-grabbing time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

During the show’s sixth season, Kathryn Edwards came face-to-face with longtime nemesis, Faye Resnick, who had written about her marriage in a tell-all book about the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson in the 90s. Although Resnick has never been featured in a full-time role on the show, her close friendship with Kyle Richards has garnered her many guest appearances in the years since the series began.

In Resnick’s book, the interior designer claimed Kathryn Edwards’ former husband, Marcus Allen, had engaged in an affair with Nicole Brown Simpson while he was married to the Edwards. At the time, Allen and his former wife denied the affair, but ultimately, they went their separate ways, and Kathryn Edwards later married Donnie Edwards.

As for Donnie’s thoughts on her Bravo departure, Kathryn Edwards confirmed her husband was very “happy” that his wife wouldn’t be dedicating so much time to her life away from him.

“He’s happy to have his wife back! He was so supportive of me trying it out, but it definitely changed our lives last year. Not to say it wasn’t great, but it was different! It will be nice to reconnect and get back to our lives,” Kathryn Edwards explained.

Although Kathryn Edwards will not be featured alongside returning cast members Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards and Erika Girardi during Season 7, that isn’t to say she won’t be watching the show when it returns to Bravo. In fact, she told People Magazine that she was excited to see how things between Vanderpump and her co-stars, who were on the outs at the end of Season 6 would play out as the series continued for Season 7.

“I’m sure I will [watch next season]!” she said. “I’m dying to see what’s going to happen with Vanderpump and the crew next season!”

Kathryn Edwards’ former co-stars will return to Bravo for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 later this year. However, a premiere date for the new installment has not yet been set.
