WWE News: WWE NXT Star Finn Balor Getting Ready For Call Up Very Soon

In a world where WWE will have three good brands, WWE NXT has managed to stand out as a brand that WWE did not want to lose. The brand was able to become the talk of the wrestling world in 2014 and became THE brand to discuss in 2015. People were as excited about the material NXT put out as much as they were when WWE was in their boom periods. People love the brand, but the problem for WWE is that NXT is simply a place to put the young talent until WWE can use them on the main roster.

That means all of the top stars from the brand will end up heading to the main roster whenever WWE sees a use for them. That is a good and bad thing for WWE. NXT is great because of the major stars they have on the brand. Therefore, removing them from the brand would end up watering down the NXT product, right? Well, yes and no, as Triple H is doing all he can to sign some of the top independent names in the world.

Of course, they may not be as popular as certain NXT standouts right now, but that does not mean they won’t be. Regardless, talent will be called up. One in particular who fans have been wondering about is former NXT Champion Finn Balor. He has teased his arrival since last year, and it has made every fan want to choke him at one time or another. According to PWInsider, Balor was in Stamford recently, which means he was at WWE Headquarters.

Clearly, this meant that they were most likely having to do some filming for him, but normally they don’t have issues with doing packages without the help of the Superstar. This means WWE may very well be doing some vignettes with him so that they can announce his debut ahead of time.

To add even more fuel to the fire, Cageside Seats reports that Finn Balor will debut on the main roster at some point this month. They claim he will come no later than July. This makes a lot of sense as well. There were reports claiming that he could show up on the night of the WWE Draft, which also happens to be the first night WWE SmackDown goes live weekly for the first time. It is set to be a big night, and WWE is promoting the event hard.

Finn Balor is possibly the most anticipated call-up in recent memory. While some would claim Bayley is right there with him as far as anticipation goes, people know WWE will put a lot behind Finn Balor when he finally does debut. The main reason for this is Triple H, who is a huge fan of Balor and made him the top guy on NXT for that very reason. While Balor will come up with a lot of other NXT workers, it is expected he’ll get the biggest push out of them all.

Some naturally assume that he will be paired with The Club the moment he arrives. He very well could be, but there are some reports claiming that Balor could very well come up alone and remain a singles act on an opposite brand to The Club. That could mean Finn Balor will start his own club, but that would not be very wise of WWE considering they let the “Balor Club” trademark expire, which means they don’t plan to use it anytime soon — if ever.

Does that mean Finn Balor won’t have his own group? No, as he very well could. However, if he does, it may very well be The Club that he controls. This would eventually push AJ Styles out of the group. As of now, WWE feels that The Club works as is. That means they may not want to add or remove anyone at any point soon. It is expected that Finn’s match with Shinsuke Nakamura on the WWE NXT episode next week will most likely be his NXT swan song. It will be interesting to see if The Demon comes with him or not for such a match.
