Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have posted new photos from their upcoming action flick Fast and the Furious 6, according to the folks over at Cinema Blend. While Johnson’s photo shows the actor in a behind-the-scenes setting, Diesel’s Facebook photo appears to be an official shot from the film itself. Although Vin’s post doesn’t reveal anything overwhelmingly exciting, it should still please fans who can’t wait for the next installment of the series to arrive in theaters.
Diesel’s picture, which was posted on his official Facebook page, shows him standing alongside Johnson and co-star Paul Walker. Honestly, the still looks like something that could have been lifted from Fast and Furious. In other words, it doesn’t look like the characters have changed very much since the previous film.
The Rock’s photo, meanwhile, shows just how strong the wrestler-turned-actor truly is. During a scene which required the big guy to throw someone through a table, the impact of said stunt caused the roof to completely collapse. According to Indiewire, nobody was seriously hurt during the bizarre accident. To commemorate the occasion, Johnson posted a picture of the damage to his followers on Twitter.
“On set. FAST 6. Take 1: Rock throws man into table so hard entire ceiling crashes down,” he wrote.
In addition to Diesel, Walker, and Johnson, the latest entry in the series also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and Tyrese Gibson.
Although The Fast and the Furious 6 isn’t slated to hit North American theaters until May 24, 2013, this hasn’t stopped the film from popping up quite a bit in the news lately. Just recently, The Rock stopped a small group of would-be car thieves from making off with a few vans parked near the set. When the thugs saw Johnson barreling towards them at top speed, they quickly pounded pavement in the opposite direction.
