‘Bachelor In Paradise’ 2016 Spoilers — When Does It Start? Will Delays With ‘The Bachelorette’ Push Back The Premiere Date?

It’s only the middle of the of the 2016 season of The Bachelorette, and JoJo Fletcher still has four more episodes and the season finale before picking the love of her life. So far, there have been two major delays this season, and it keeps pushing back the ultimate decision of who will end up together. Now, with two weeks having been lost to various reasons, some wonder if it is going to push back the beginning of Season 3 of Bachelor In Paradise.

Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the new and upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelorette. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.

Earlier this season, the 2016 NBA Finals went to a Game 5 and caused The Bachelorette to have to double up one week. Episodes aired on back-to-back nights so they could try to stay on schedule with how things were meant to go, but that was something that just couldn’t be helped or avoided.

After that, the schedule returned back to normal even though some clever editing from ABC caused the rose ceremony eliminations to be moved on around on those episodes. Then, it just so happened that the Fourth of July fell on a Monday this year, much like it did in 2015, but Leap Year caused a double whammy for The Bachelorette.

That has since caused another delay, as there was no new episode of The Bachelorette on Monday of this week and Episode 7 was pushed to next week. Well, this got fans thinking that Bachelor In Paradise was going to be pushed back, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

In April, ABC announced that Season 3 of Bachelor In Paradise would have a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, August 2, and that is still the plan. Even though The Bachelorette has had some issues with scheduling, fans will get to see Chad Johnson back on their screen as expected.

ABC is really hoping that this year’s Bachelor In Paradise does better than Season 2, as things didn’t begin very well. As Yahoo News reported in August of last year, the season premiere had a pretty bad start, as the ratings were off a lot from the previous season.

If history repeats itself, that could be very bad news for ABC, as they are hoping that Bachelor In Paradise will end up being as successful as The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

As it currently stands, the rest of the season of The Bachelorette is going to air on ABC as follows.

  • July 11, 2016: Episode 7 – From six to four guys
  • July 18, 2016: Episode 8 – The hometown dates
  • July 25, 2016: Episode 9 – The overnight fantasy suite dates
  • TBD: Episode 10 – The “Men Tell All” special
  • August 1, 2016: Season Finale

Remember, ABC does like to change things up from time to time, so this is subject to change if they decide to alter things a bit. It doesn’t seem as they’re going to move things around anymore, but there is always that chance.

It’s hard to think that this series will ever have the type of following and ratings that the two big shows get, but this season is bringing back some key names. A lot of troublemakers and villains are returning, and that’s not even mentioning the “multiple engagements” confirmed to happen.

For now, ABC has no intention of pushing back or delaying the beginning of Bachelor In Paradise due to the delays and issues with The Bachelorette. JoJo Fletcher is going to make her final decision on August 1 and on the very next night, Bachelor In Paradise is going to start with all the drama including Chad Johnson, Lace Morris, Nick Viall, and others.
